Look peeps...everyone here has gone back and forth in their views about the war right now...but in order to voice their opinion, UNICEF has gone and used the lovable Smurfs-yep you read that right-the Smurfs in a cartoon where everything is fine and dandy, when out of nowhere, the Smurf village is bombed, and Smurfette gets killed. The cartoon is part of an anti-war ad that has been airing in Belguim, and while they have been careful enough to air the spots after the children have gone to bed, I still think it's too extreme, especially since most of us were kids ourselves when we watched them.

guys you know my answer is lllolll.

the war goes on pal. till its end. no matter how many jelly spines there are out there. all of europe is liberal anyway. about everything they hate anything any body does. unless it has to do with food or art llloll.

Well I am European by birth, French as a matter of fact, and I think you are generalizing. When one group (or person) views another with pre-conceived notions negativity results.
It is terribly sad that the "Smurfs" have come to such a sad place in our world history, but this is what is going on right now.
The saddest part is that you are truly correct, the war will go on, and some poor soldiers family will find out today he (or she) will not be coming home.
It really is not that funny, when you look at it that way.

Basically it was done to shock people into donating to UNICEF because they felt that people see images of the real life war going on, and that has jaded many people into feeling hopeless.

Yeah, I read somewhere that the people they are trying to target, used to watch the Smurfs when they were younger, and they wanted to act on those childhood memories.
