There's a little correction you that you either missed or you conveniently left out. The chad machines you mention are no longer.
I did not conveniently leave out anything ColombianHarry. I did not know either way. That's why I said "if they still have those chad machines". One doe not have to read between the lines there.
ColombianHarry said:
Did you object to those voting machines when Bill Clinton was elected twice with them?
No, ColombianHarry, there was no controversy there when Bill Clinton was elected, so I did not object. You're right there, Hermano
As for Bush pandering to "religious whack jobs" as you put it is complete nonsense.
Please... Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, ect... are not Democrats
ColombianHarry said:
Yet, you make no mention of the fringe groups that Dems pander to.
Yeah, Al Sharpton really should not be taken seriously, I agree

You also failed to mention the better news coming out of the economy.
Yeah, the economy is booming, dude! I forgot to mention that.

Here is another thing you also fail to mention. The FCC fined the Howard Stern show over one million dollars back int the late 90's. The common denominator here is that in the 90's George W. Bush wasn't president. Things that make you go hmm.
Yeah, but now they want to hold individuals responsible for whatever the FCC deems indecent. Trouble is, there are no clear FCC rules on indecency, only the 7 deadly words (which Stern never used, in the cases that he was fined). Also, Stern wanted to fight them in court, and let the courts rule on what is indecent, but the FCC was not going to let Infinity Broadcasting (Stern's employers) buy or sell radio stations if they took them to court. That was under the Clinton FCC. Now, the Bush FCC (under the leadership of Colin Powell's son) is undertaking a witch hunt where individual broadcasters will can be fined up to $500,000 for anything they deem indecent. Do you know how this threatens freedom of speech? Do you care?

Once again this was has no comparison whatsoever to Vietnam. How do I know this? Because by the president's own words last night,
Oh, then it must be fact. Sorry.

And I was.

was that the military commanders on the ground will get what they want.
And what is that? The military has to be taking the offensive, not sitting around being cops. A city like Fallujah has to be leveled. We do have B1's, B52's. If things are not going to be done right, then get the f out.
might want to go back and check history on what went on with the Vietnam situation. I can spell out the differences if you like.
Last time I checked History, and History was my major in college, this was the same situation. A military force, acting like a police force, getting hit by guerillas, taking lots of casualties (55,000 dead in Vietnam). If you're going to go for it, then go for it.
Ave Pues Mijo, Y que viva Colombia!
