wowee I've just started the most fun summer work ever! this month i started was at the hospital - well ya i started volunteering in that place 2 years ago, but now that i'm 17 (ya not 97 like my age says) i'm now allowed to actually do EMERGENCY! i've never had a better work experience in my life!
so i'm in an OK position, since we volunteers are not supposed to even touch the patients so that means no dirt things for me. but its good enough just seeing the cases. yesterday, this one contractor came in with a bloody blue cloth on his hand. he'd slashed his hand accidentaly with an exacto knife that morning while doing drywall somewhere and it wouldnt stop bleeding even when the nurses covered it up with thick bandages. the blood was plainly spreading right through the bandage, yup just like in the movies or even ER 🙂 so ya i guess i dont mind seeing blood.
then last week there was this crazy lady who was taken in and they had to lock her up in our special "closet".. she was pounding her entire body on the door and a guard had to physically hold the door back so the lock wouldn't snap. you could hear this persistent pounding throughout the entire ward 😱 also a security camera was pointed at her, and after she got tired of jumping on the door she started praying...
ya theres a lot of more cases to tell, but these are the best
