How can you say "come up with some new material?"

All the freestyle artists have had new material BUT ktu refuses to let them perform!

That's why JOHNNY O refused to do last years BEATSTOCK. They refused to play his new material and they also refused to let him perform anything new. It's not the artist's fault. BLAME KTU.

Don't forget Naya, they helped with the PROJECT PUERTO RICO show on Long Island back in 89 and 95% of the acts were FREESTYLE!

LET ME JUST SAY THAT IT WAS MY FIRST TIME AT BEATSTOCK. I COULD CARE LESS WHAT MIGHT'VE TAKEN PLACE LAST YEAR CAUSE I WASN'T THERE AND I'M SURE SOME OF THE PEOPLE THAT WERE THERE MIGHT'VE ALSO BEEN THERE FOR THE FIRST TIME.

ACCORDING TO WHAT I SAW...WHETHER THE ACT WAS NEW, OLD, ONE HIT WONDER OR WHATEVER PEOPLE HAD A BLAST. IT'S THE FANS THAT KEEP MUSIC GOING THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. CONSIDER THE FREESTYLE THAT WAS SUNG CLASSIC BUT IT'S SOME HOT-ASS CLASSIC SHIT!!! AND I'M SURE PEOPLE AGREE TO SAY THAT THEY STILL BLAST IT IN THEIR VEHICLES AT PARTIES OR IN THE PRIVACY OF THEIR HOMES. WE HAVE A NEW GENERATION COMING UP THAT'S GETTING INTO THE FREESTYLE THAT WE LOVED AND STILL LOVE TODAY. SO DON'T CONDEMN IT.

AS FOR NEW MUSIC, WHO ALONG WITH ME WAS CALLING KTU ON A CONSISTENT BASIS SO THEY COULD AIR PLAY ANY OF THE NEW SONGS OFF OF TKA'S LAST ALBUM?????? I'VE HEARD THEY ARE WORKING ON NEW MATERIAL IT'S UP TO US THE FANS TO PUT KEEP THEM ON THE MAP.

AS FOR THE NEWSPAPER................I'LL COUNT TO TEN ON THIS ONE AND RELAX CAUSE THEY ARE ENTITLED TO WRITE WHAT THEY WANT EVEN IF IT'S NEGATIVE.

I don't really give a damn what they helped with, cause they are like the radio, as long as you do them a favor they will air your song on the commercial after that you ain't heard of again. Let's not be gullible bout the media, newspapers or radio stations, they are in it for one reason and that is to make money for that moent and nothing else.

I just said they know of FREESTYLE because they helped FREESTYLE back in the day.

But it is wrong of them to comment about the music like that, nevertheless.

I'm glad someone meantioned that. They had 40 or 50 dancers on stage you don't get more original than that. And that is definately not what she did last year. And you know what Daily news still had something negative to say. I got the feeling that this reporter was a little bitter at having to cover this event at all, and took it out on the performers. I think it didn't matter what he saw he knew what type of review he was going to write before he even got there. People who were dissappointed at the performances might have had their expectations set a little high. What's good about Beatstock is when an artist comes out that you don't like, just wait a couple of minutes and someone else will be out. I think when you have that many performers on stage the chances are some are gonna be better than others. But I think the good always weighs out the bad at any Beatstock I have seen. Believe me I found myself saying "why do they ask this act back every year?", but I figure someone must like them or they know someone-lol. I always get the feeling they only put acts on that you can "sing along" too. They don't want to put anyone on that you don't know the song already. So I would agree that there is no new material, but I don't think this type of concert is the forum for it either.

As they say in Hollywood "any publicity is good publicity" It sucks that they talked shit but look at it this way peeps, the non-Freestylers read about it. I'm considering a "hit" on the columnist. Maybe if I have time.

No prob, Naya! I just didnt want you being mad at me!!

Im very pissed at the DAILY NEWS because they printed an article about a murder that had happened recently in regards to TWISTED SISTER. They said that Dee Snyder's wife (whose brother was recently mudered in NYC) used to go on the HOWARD STERN show and strip for them all the time. I think that was very cruel and unthoughtful of the paper to print such bullshit about someone, especially after such a terrible tragedy had happened.

I had met Dee and his wife on a few occasions and I have to tell you, he is the coolest guy around and his wife is nothing like what the DAILY NEWS had described her as.
