One of my new favorite stations is MIX 102.7 - They have a great mix of music, Including dance music & freestyle!

I have notice they have played music by Company B, Lisa Lisa, Shannon, Expose and yesterday morning I heard "SHOW ME" by the cover girls and it was an extended version!

Wouldn't it be great to have another radio station in new york playing freestyle!

:safire - I LOVE THIS GIRL!

I think it's a great station...so nice to hear a true mix of music...disco, freestyle, 80's and 90s music, and new music. They play it all!

I HEARD COMPANY B. ONLY. HOPE THEY KEEP IT UP. I READ IN THE NEWSPAPER THE OTHER THAT THEY CHANGED THEIR FORMAT AGAIN AND A LOT OF SPONSORS ARE MADE CAUSE IT WAS DONE ON THE DOWN LOW. :bangbang

Don't expect much more freestyle than what you already hear there on Mix 102.7! It's a "MIX" station, and stations like that normally don't play freestyle at all, and maybe very very little in their mix. I assume that "MIX" is a clear-channel station, and they play top 40, but top 40 songs from the past and some current pop & alternative songs also. You probably most likely hear songs like "wild thing", "oh sheila", I want your sex", "I wear my sunglasses at night", "sweet dreams", "it's my life", "strange love", and "spin me round (like a record)..." in the mix show(s). You may hear a little old school hip hop, some alternative retro (like "cruel summer"), some old pop, dance remixes of some pop/rock songs, and "hey ya" by Outkast in mixes, Then regular format plays a lot of the songs your top 40 station once played back in the day, some which weren't really hits, but recognizable when played or heard. "MIX" (or similar stations under different names) usually have a lot in common with your K-lite/lite rock station(s) when it comes to music. They most likely also have a time when they do all 80's, and even possibly 90's at some other time. Here in Arizona, Mix 96.9 is 104.7 kissFM's sister station, or should I say brother station because the gay 104.7.... is gay!

I don't expect them to play any new freestyle. But it's good to hear another english speaking radio station in new york playing music by freestyle artist.

most recently heard -

i still believe - brenda k starr
wishing on a star - cover girls
