SAFIRE - you have been a true inspiration to thousands of latinos throughout your great career. I understand that it is now time to move on. you have a special gift and you must expand in order to grow. i have been a fan since day 1, and have seen you perform many times, you are truly great at your craft.

You deserve to be on top once more, i don't consider you a "freestyle artist", you are much more than that. you have gone beyond freestyle music,you are among the few freestyle artists to crossover.

i look forward to your next project. i only wish i were patient enough to wait, please don't make us wait very long.

Hey Safire, as a singer myself I can imagine how difficult this decision was for you to make. But keep in mind that you have talent and your doors will always be open. No matter what you choose to do, cause a singer is always a singer, it's in our blood, you will always have our support Girl!! I am a big fan of freestyle music. But there is one thing that has been bothering me about this Safire retirement. This is only my opinion and I hope that I do not affend anyone. My opinion of retirement is when someone can no longer do their job. For example Micheal Jackson has been in the Music Business over 30 yrs and he has not retired. See Safire what your doing is quitting not retiring which is a big difference and I could understand if you could no longer sing any more, but that is not the case so as far as i am concern all this pitty on the post is nonsense, she is leaving freestyle because their is no longer money and interest in this type of music i am pretty sure if this music was doing well she wouldn't be quitting, there have been other artist like Sweet Sensation that left the business but they never quit or retired. What is the other reason for her trying to retire? she tried other music and it did not work! Please give me a break for all this sympathy. Quitting is for losers and retirement is when someone succeeds in their profession. I love freestyle music and i will always love it with or without Safire.

She is persuing other music genre. I don't think this thread is a thread of pity,only her thanking her fans for the years they have been there for her. and yeah freestyle is not a money making genre anymore, why shouldn't she go and find one that is. and by saying she is quitting and then saying that quitting is for losers your calling her a loser and that offends me and her other fans as well. Maybe you do not agree with her terminology, but you don't know this woman to be calling her a loser. your free to express your opinions just don't insult the person, we don't take kindly to that here.

Nobody is feeling sorry or showing pity towards Safire. She gave us many wonderful years of great music. Simply put, Safire has decided to RETIRE from freestyle music and we are wishing her much success in her future projects. Yes, there is no money in freestyle anymore, so do you blame her for having to move on. That does not make her a loser. She is a winner to all of us. Love ya Safire!!!!

Safire, we love you and we hope that you continue to make FREESTYLE and Latin music. Maybe someday you'll change your mind and you'll come back. You've been in the business long enough to have paid your dues, and you've made us all very happy. Through your music we have alot of fond memories. Hopefully that will be enough to hold us over lol.

I bought your new Cd and I enjoyed listening to it, thanks for being who you are, a true DIVA, like the others said. I never had the opportunity to see you perform in person, you were scheduled for my town, at BocaJoes, but something went wrong I guess.

Enjoy your time with your family, and take the time to discover what direction you want your music to go in for the future, hopefully freestyle will fit in the picture somewhere further down the road. If not, GOOD LUCK in whatever you do and enjoy your life girl!!

Girl, it's too bad for you that Naya logged off already. So I guess i'll step up to the plate. If there's one thing we CFers don't like, that is someone dissing our artist!!! So I really suggest you watch what you say!!! Nyasia along with Safire and many other artist are incredible people in our eyes and we love them dearly. So if you wanna be a playa hater than you need to find another site. And pronto!

Hipocrite me? nah littlegirl far from it. I am still in it, because I like it I work a 9-5 don't need the industry to make my money and neither does Safire. She herself put up the money for her new album...lolol can you do that? i doubt it very much.
