I heard about it, but I'm not holding my breath.

(didn't give my 7 year old a birthday party because finances are too tight)... with this money, I wanted to give him one.

Actually everyone, you can find out the STATUS on your check. On the same website that Krystal provided, www.IRS.gov, there's another link that tells you to check status. Click on it and put in your SS#, exemptions, and filing status. It'll then tell you the exact date your check is going out. I know 2 people who got their checks already. One friend of mine was one of the first ones to receive it. So they're in the mail.
