...when Brenda K Starr dropped her first Latin album titled, "Te Sigo Esperando". Wow. What an album! Every track, from 1 to 8, is hot! I remember my aunt coming up to Boston from the Bronx with the bootleg! And I remember saying, "Brenda K Starr used to sing Freestyle! She has a Salsa album out?!" Damn. Was I really 20 years old? That's just crazy.

Anyway, there really is no point to this thread other than that I'd love to give this lady props from crossing over very smoothly into a very competitive genre.

(And also because I'm playing the album right now). 🙂

lol, thats funny, my boi found that album, (with the white sweater) & her 1987 self titled, in the sale bin at Spec's music last week, both for a DOLLAR each!
He was very happy, lol.

I loved "Señor Amante". I got her 1st 4 salsa albums. Her and India are two of my idols. Those ladies got some pipes on them!!!

I def love the Salsa jamz, & the reggaeton track, ...but it has about 3 ballads.
It's a good album. At least I think it is.
But there's jus sumthin' about her 1st Salsa album. 🙂

never heard any of her salsa stuff, but since I don't listen to salsa, I guess that's not a surprise.

lmao

The 1st salsa album is my favorite too. I still listen to "Herida" all the time. I also love the song "Petalos de Fuego," from the third album.
