I am now accepting promo for those interested in taking part in the tai shan ball II party during wmc week in Miami.
Tai Shan ball was a spin off of the China doll project.Its purpose is to unite the dance community through our freestyle view and our history. This is where i get together with the labels that are actually contributing to the dance community and at the same time opening the doors for new combers and actually giving them a place to perform during wmc week.
our freinds are executives at many labels and are open minded enough to take time and swing by and look at the artist performing at this party.
My format is that of classic electrofunk/electro breaks, latinhiphop/freestyle and latin house, freestyle/breaks, trance(vocal/comercial) and house (circuite/comercial and progressive).
last year it was held at the brand new club 1771 (formerly salvation on south beach). We had a line up of artist that included D'luna the china doll, sandee, tara Skye, Chyna, Ashley,Dj Vidal,dj gemini from 93flz tampa, Circuite boy, Jorge ojeda from destune records/sound of destiny and the original rythm 98 in Miami. I had participation from labels and people from jellybean. *69, nebulous, harlequin,groovalicious,nextstep,amplitude and idol maker.
last years party was also put together as a last minute thing.... unfortunatley the word did not get around fast enough to fill a room of that size.... this year it will be diferent.but i would like to thank all those who showed up...
mickey garcia, frank lords, ashley, johnny o, peeps from mega 103.5, sony, etc and our big family.
(last year you saw what i could do in 2 weeks..due to the lack of freestyle parties in numbers. this year....you will see my wrath.
although it wont be the bigest, it will be the loudest!!).
if you have talent and you have balls enough to get infront of crowd made up of loud heart-throbbers (us), cunty queens and cocky raver kids and you can take critisim and still perform well, while executives look at you, then your what im looking for. if you have sex,attitude, and and pipes. im looking for you!!!
If you are a label (indi or major) and you have an artist you would like to test out or promote and you would like to take part in this event....bring it on (if you dare).
Freestyle, breaks, trance, house...show me what you got!!
(if you got a record like one i heard on clubfreestyle.."Lost In Love" by kristine Turner.... thats what we are looking for.stuff like that also.)
cus this will be sort of our "showtime at tha apollo" during wmc week.
And hopfully turns into a tradition and a crown jewel for freestyle parties during wmc week.
This party is to be one of the most classy, but at the same time the most ghetto fabulouse events on the beach. leave your exec attitudes and big egos at home. b-boys to drag queens welcome...as we will also have b-boy/girl competitions and runway space for the houses.
This will NOT be your typical industry fabricated artist showcase, but will have a diferent twist. your at the hands of the people, the underground.No matter how far we are in the corporate lader..this is where we go back to our roots..the undergound.
