Just doing a 'quick' review of the Rush. Overall it was a bust! The artists were great for the most part, but the venue was horrid! The Docks is the worst place for such a concert. So disorganized, and they had way too many people, according to the Z crew, they said 15000+ people. That's just stupid, this concert was way better when it was held @ Kingswood. The docks was just so rammed, no one danced, no one cheered really, it was too quiet for the most part (except when Joee and Sash came on). Freda was decent, but she wasn't on long enough, Elissa did a good job as well, she's very lively. Sash was pretty good, Joee was alright, but what I gotta say is girls are vicious when he comes on! Man they were evil, whipping bottles at each other cause girls were getting in their way and couldn't see Joee. Sheesh, some girls are deadly when they're horny! I don't know what the heck happened to Rockell though, she didn't show! I was royally pissed, neither did Alice Deejay. Lil Suzy was there, that wasn't bad, but she didn't perform her new song. 🙁 I do have to say though, the hilight had to be Tamara. OMG, this girl is so f'ing gorgeous, what a body, a solid stomach, oh so sexy. 😉 Holy crap, seriously, when she came on me and my friends were like wtf, who's that? Then she started singing and we were in awe, she looks like she's in her early 20's too, yum! She actually sang too, no lip sync crap, and she moves nicely when on stage, put on a good show! Oh, and if next year the rush is set at the Docks, I'm not there, don't care what artists are there, it's just not worth it. Oh ya, the sound system sucked dog doodoo as well, barely audible @ times. Not loud enough @ all!
 
after hearing all of this.........let me be the first to reply THAT I AM GLAD I DIDNT GO.........if it sucked that bad i feel sorry for the people who actually paid for tickets.........all HYPE but no delivery.............the FREESTYLE RUSH better not be like that or heads are gonna roll.............hey ELUDER at least you got to see Tamara & Lil Suzy............there both extremely hot............look on the bright side what went bad could only get better from here..........as to when the rush gets here
 
Sorry you had a bad time Eluder.
I've never been to a rush concert and will never be just because of all the sh@# people say about it.
I have to say that I missed lil suzy perform but not like its her last performance, plenty more to come.
Tamara is solid, but lil suzy is beautiful, very european, my kind of gal.
Its a shame that there is no official word on the freestyle rush concert, I would really like to know who will be performing.

I just got home from the SUMMER RUSH... I have a few complaints. First of all, I went w/ my g/f and my 2 buddies. Me & Her had tickets but my other buddies didn't, we get down there to figure out that if you don't have a ticket you can't get in. That's sooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!in' stupid. 2nd, They should just let the people in instead of making us wait sooo freakin' long in the line up. I gotta tell you, it was like all the way down Polsen street. The position where the everyone was performing was a horrible place to stage it. There wasn't that many people watchin' the concert. When Lil Suzy was singin' I don't think no one cared, except that she's freakin' solid. The place was sooo freakin' RAMMED. The good things were that i got hooked up w/ a 19+ bracelet (just one year off 19) from the entrance bouncer. Also.. I should of had a camera w/ me cause i swear i would take pictures of the bare Pu@@y I saw. Who ever knew waiting in a line up for pizza was so excited. Let me just tell you that, that was probably the highlight of the Summer Rush for me. Won't ever forget that moment. The sound system was way worse then my computer speakers. When 'The Hammer' screamed in the mic, sounded like he was just talkin' normal. LOL. The after party wasn't bad at all, they played straight Euro for like 1 hour w/o any of that shity freakin' hip-hop and shit, but when they did play it, it was for like 15mins or so. Those are my thoughts... it wasn't that bad, It's just that WHY THE HELL IS ON A SUNDAY.. I gotta go to work in about 5 hours....

That's to bad..i heard that the only good performances were done by Elissa, Lil Suzy, Tamara and Joee. I just know that alot of people wanted to see Freida ALOT longer than she was on, but still a great performance from her. Good job Freida!

As for me...i don't go to the rushes..i'll support the artists another way. Usually alot of my contacts from Toronto that go to these performace say that the Hype is bettter than the actual performances are.

But nevertheless...Tony M...great job putting it together..the
efforts are ALWAYS appreciated in the dance/freestyle community. And to the artist that read this board, thank you for all your efforts as well..you guys are putting Toronto on the map for some of the best dance music...trust me..i can get your proof for that 😉
 
hey i said it the docks sucks and thats one of the reasons i didn't go and i won't go there no matter who is there. It's too bad to hear that the preformances were good but short and that it basically sucked, hopefully if the freestyle rush goes on this year it won't be anywhere near the docks and it won't be like the summer rush.

About the line that someone talked about, were they searching, how many people were let in at a time?? How long was the wait?
 
Oh, forgot to mention, the remix of Elissa's The Light done by Becca sounded pretty damn good from what I heard, the beat was sweet! And this is for Portu, buddy Tamara's Portuguese (at least that's what I read online), go for it! 😀
 
I must say i am so glad i did not go!! alice deejay & rockell didn't show ???????? what the f#@$ is that !! that's b.s !!! i heard the docks was crap! thats too bad 'cause there were some good performers there too! As for Tamara ... yes yes of course she is none other than Portuguese!!! we rule!! our women are solid!! i knew she was Portuguese!!! yes yes !!!! a yummy Portuguese!!!

The Light will be a World Wide Release... Cutting Records NYC has it for the U.S. and The World and It was also Signed to Sony/Tycoon In Canada. It will be Released on an MC Mario Compilation But I'm not sure which versions. As Soon as I have a clear date.. I promise to let everyone know.

If you didn't like the summer rush venue this year, ya ain't gonna like it next year, cause that same night on the radio they announced that the 10th annual summer rush next year will most likely be held at the DOCKS again!!!
 
LOL they also said on the radio everyone loved it and that It was the best one yet, and from what i hear from you guys, not everyone loved it and it was crap so... you never know. But if it's there or not i still won't be there.
