No, I'm not talking about the rappers shooting at each other.

I'm talking about stars taking verbal jabs at each other.

Here are two examples.....

I saw an interview with classic actress, Bette Davis. She and Joan Crawford had a MAJOR fued going on.

Joan Crawford had died, and the interveiwer asked Bette Davis on her opinions on Joan. She took a drag of her cigarette, and said.....

"I was always told you should speak good of the dead. Joan Crawford's dead. Good!"

Then there was the time when Aerosmith was to receive a "video Vangaurd" award. It was presented to them by Madonna. It was around the time when Madonna was going through the "Erotica" and "Sex" phase.

She callls Aerosmith onstage, and gives them their award. She turns to leave, and Steven Tyler says into the mic, raises his had, and extends two fingers, and says.....

"Can you tell me why Madonna masterbates with these two fingers?"

One of his bandmates says "Why?" and Steven Tyler says.....

"Because they're mine!"

Well, Madonna walks back out onstage, goes to the mic and says.....

"Steven, if I use your fingers, it's not masterbation. It's sexual abuse!"

The audience roared.

I read in a book on celebrity anecdotes that there was also a famous incident between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis when they were supposed to present an award together. They were both backstage waiting to go out when their names were called. "Age before beauty", Joan Crawford sneered, waving for Bette to go on ahead. "Pearls before swine," Bette shot back and swept past Joan Crawford and onto the stage!

I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS FOR A MINUTE. I actually met Marcia Cross once - it was right when she was starting on Melrose Place (she had been on "One Life To Live" before that). She was ON A DATE (with a man, I might add) strolling down 6th Avenue near 12th street and I recognized her and walked up to her to say hello and tell her I was a fan (I was a stupid teenager then!)...she was one of the sweetest, nicest, most gracious people I have ever met. She was not nasty, rude or dismissive, even though I was a complete stranger, and I refuse to believe that she acted the way they claim she acted on that set!!!!
