Ok so I'm at work *restaurant business...long story* and well we just got DSL .... my boss hired this computer dude to hook it up and stuff... well the stuff came in today so I decided shoot I have to stay here til 10pm I'm gonna try to hook it up myself.... and well as you can see I'm online ....guess my blonde roots weren't showing then.... so I call the dude to tell him I hooked it up and he was like Well I was supposed to be there tomorrow afternoon to hook you guys up and I was like Dude I couldn't wait I'm BORRRRRRRRRED!!!!!

So I told my boss and he was laughing saying I ROCK! to pat myself on the back and have fun :jumpr
 
you know what i take from that??

that in the 80's it would of been unheard to expect anyone to stay in any office till 6 pm.

much less 10 pm. thats insane. whats even more insane is we as workers not only accept that. we actually take pride? that we stay later and later llloll.

folks our generation x has to bring back unions. to their old strength. or we will never

see 60 !!

Well... maybe she started work late today.. and 10pm is her get off time.. Gosh knows that I have some pretty messed up hours... And I am part of a Union... Unions have nothing to do with it... Its just that not everyone works a 9-5 monday to friday job...
Otherwise.. You GO GIRL.. gettin all hooked up and showin that cable internet guy what is UP!!!
 
Yea true Thanks John 🙂 ..... even though I DID start at 8 this morn but tomorrow I get to come in later in the afternoon.....hehehe

thats cuase unions are weak thse days. unions are just a stamp these days. corporations push unions around these days.

but in the 60's and 70's god help the place that made anyone late. with out pay or even asked such a thing.

we need strong unions again

so what personal opinions never mattered during the union days. only work? in the old days what any co worker thought about you was irrelevant.

if an IT guy hates you thats a problem llloll. a big one. i use to work in IT and they are the power these days. lllloll.

even I dont have a power full comment for that. just the way it is. try to get back in his good graces pronto lllolll. or take 20 month IT course so you can be one of us ??

the best way to deal with computer guys. first hes not a computer guy. hes a junior administrator.

which have the brain the size of a thumb tack. there the ones who travel around. the administrator. hes hanging by the server.

a junion admin. the best way to handle those guys. is disappear. cuase they feed off control?

so if your not there. or pretend your busy. he cant ctroll you cuase you werent there for him to talk to you !!!!!

One time... (no not at band camp) when I was at work...myself and two other guys were kinda huddled up looking at the lunch menu... and the boss comes over (we used to call him Wally or Dilbert - this was back at Spirit Airlines) anyways.. he comes over and wants to talk to us about some performance mods on the MD80's, and we completely ignore him. Finally, Jerry, one of the guys, he pokes his head up and is like, "Hey.. come on.. cant that wait we are ordering lunch here?".. He storms out screaming, "Its like talking to a F**king wall with you guys!!" It was funny as all heck!!
 
ahhh i dont know. i hate all these companies. cuase companies today are not hwat they use to be. you dont work anymore these days. you just deal with personalities thats all.

so thats why i drive my limo. lllloll. like i always say in my limo. there no envy no jealousy. no head trips and no personalities. just silence and work.

like in the old days llloll.

poor heavenly dont know what to tell her. but i left that life a llong time ago.

only tip i can give you. is always be around alot of people when an IT guys visits. and make it loook like your busy. makes him harder.

to exert controll. mmake it hard der for the Borg to controll you.

but ultimately theres only so much you can run from the borg. before it owns you.

and a year alter it will say why you do this why you hit this button why why why ???
