Personally, if it's so "wrong" for homosexuals to be in the military, how the hell are you going to make them go to war when they are practically banned from the military. There's a thought.

Now there is a very interesting point Carlito's:confused

hmmm...

maybe then a lot of straight men that do not want to be drafted can cry "gay" when their # is up...

hmm, not quite sure how they will handle this one, But I, for one do not believe in drafting.

I think the draft would be a good thing to bring back,we americans are all selfish fat lazy and think the world owes us a living. people in this country don't seem to appreciate just how high our standard of living is, americans need some discipline, they need to learn to respect one another. a few years in the military would not be a bad thing. we need to respect the fact that we are very lucky to live here and whether or not we agree with the current administration we need to give something back to the country that has given us so much.....that was pretty good I should run for pres. next year.

I'd have to disagree with you on this one. I'm not selfish, I'm the least bit fat, nor am I lazy.

I appreciate what I have done for myself. America didn't give me a college degree, nor are they helping me pay my school loans.

I thank my parents for the hard years of discipline, no one else.

My pops spent 26 years in the Air Force, and I spent those 26 years with him moving from country to country, state to state. I chose not to go into the Air Force. It wasn't for me. Too much politics involved in that.

Besides, I'm not going to fight for my country, when I don't agree with half that shit that goes down in the capitol. Let me fight for something that I know is worth fighting for. Something I beleive in.

Don't get me wrong, I'm proud to be an American. But just because I'm American does not mean that I have to go to some foreign country to blow shit up, just because I was given orders to do so.

If drafting is the case, take all those sick pedophiles, rapists, and murderers and put them to good use.

well its official two down now wheres saddam?? and heres a blast from the past WHERE IN THE HELL IS OSAMA??? as for the draft..the reason i could see that happening is where starting to spread ourselves thin in all the different conflicts at one time.whats the main danger in this?? if 70% of our forces are deployed throughout the world guess what?? 30% is all thats left protecting the united states..dont get it twisted ..despite the constant color alerts going up and down..and our politicians and military advisers coming on tv and telling us we have nothing to worry about..its still easy for terrorist to get into america and to make an attack..as we sit here right now at this moment there are people throughout the country..just thinking shiz up..and around the world.. waiting for the right time..the question of if we will be attacked on our soil is not at all if...but when..its just come to light yesterday that there where reports that there were iraqi buyers in africa trying to purchase plutonium and that the CIA dissmissed those reports which turned out to be fact...just as they dissmissed reports a few years back of a planned attack on the world trade center by a hijacked airliner.. makes you stand back and say a big time HMMMMMMMM one final thought..as i got on the exit for the manhattan bridge and since 9 11 im nervous when crossing the bridges because im convinced one of the bridges will be attacked..as i passed by the patrol car parked at the entrance ramp to the bridge there was the cop reading the paper..and i thought to myself if i had a bomb in the trunk of my car what would stop me? an a final thought about the draft..i think it would be a good thing to be requried that like other countries you serve some mandatory time..we are a spolied lazy undisciplined society which is pacified easily with blockbuster video nights and fast food resturants...what really shows me how lazy our youth is is when i have twenty year olds come into my store to get a cell phone and have to pick one out by how much it weighs...and actually complain about some being to heavy!!??are you f*&ing kidding me??? how about if you had to go into combat i think to myself wearing a fifty pound pack and a twelve pound rifile..this may sound offensive but im gonna say it any way.."the land of the home and the brave"??? nooo the land of "if i dont have to do shiz then im cool" thats the state of the nation for real!!

They are just showing the bodies again on CNN...though today they've been changed so that they look more like the 2 did in life...I dunno they look so fake...

Fact: America is breaking the rules of the Geneva Law. The Geneva Law states that NO country should show videos or pictures of prisoners of war, nor should they show casualties of war. Displaying the bodies of the Hussein brothers is totally against the Geneva Law.

America? Hypocrites?

well if we broke a geneva convention rule..whoop tee doo..all these nations ruled by tryrant dictators break far worse rules and laws..they look at the warnings in the geneva convention in the same manner one may look at the warning label on a pillow saying "you will be proscuted to the fullest" if you remove this tag.. you cant be a nice guy and get respect.. show them..show the pictures.. get the message across with solid proof and evidence.. "if you mess with this mad dog..he will bite you..not just bark anymore"

the purpose in my opinion was to show and squash the only remaining power the sadamm regime guerillas have..proprganda..thier faith that thier leaders have gotten away and defied the allied troops its all they have left to rally..when or if they find sadam (since he hasnt been confirmed yet) he should be displayed impaled on a stake as was done in ancient wars to show the ramifications of defience ..to show the remaining opposing armies a clear message.."this is what you have to look foward too"..crush thier spirit..when we find osama .. we should not only display him..but declare a national holiday!! if it was up to me..i would extend a stake from atop the torch of the statue of liberty..and show him impaled there..as fireworks go off in the background as if it ws the fourth of july..call it "we dont play that day!!" for a nation so strong we are cosidered weak becuase of all of our "political correctness" one thing that gets respect after all the talks fail..is action!! if youre a suspect.if youre breaking the law..say you killed someone.just one person!!if you look at a cop who has a weapon drawn on you..and you refuse to respect his authority and then draw a weapon and point it in his direction..theres no talk then..the officer will do what he has to..kill you..so how is it different?? we are the global police..when everyone else decides they dont want to do anything america is there..and then crticizied by the nations and there own people!!..,,specifically thousands of americans..all in the streets..holding signs up and protesting military actions..without realizing how many have died in combat through numerous wars just so they have that right!! what an insult to those who gave thier lives to thier country..we are the global police now..fact!! so when we move in to restore order..how dare anyone american or any nation frown upon our actions?? now were deploying to liberia..why?? becuase everyone looks to us..and instead of thanks..what do we get?? does anyone even know about liberia now?? and why we should send troops..because honestly i dont?? but were going there now..bush said so... and still troops are dying daily in the iraq war which is supposed to be over. to bring back a common phrase used in the vietnam conflict..in which hundreds of thousands died.."it dont mean nothing" id imagine that the average troop then did not even know fully why they were drafted ..put through boot camp and sent to "the nam" without fully understanding why they were being sent to asia to most likely die in action..the avereage soldier was a 19 year old who was given a life expentancy of three months!! before being killed and replaced by another kid who didnt know either!!and i feel the average troop today feels the same and still in the same age bracket..(iknow when i was in the navy at 19 i wasnt even in combat and wondered what the hell i was doing in the sevice everyday!!..wheter ther still in iraq or preparing to go now into liberia.and soon to north korea..the honor of fighting and dying for your county should be fully understood by every troop...not just following given orders..understand that every troop that dies while overseas is just "a casulty" until that troop is someone from your town your city..or someone you knew personally..until then its just another CNN update
