i have this tasty little edit version on the b-side of thinking of u, usa + uk 7".
now im curious as to where this mix originates from.
no mention on the uk press. but on the usa it states "b-side available on cassette and compact disc configurations only". clearly it wasnt on the vinyl lp.
now i just saw a track listing for the usa cd album and lmbto is listed as a 12" mix.

so...
1 - where does the edit version originally come from if it didnt appear on the 12" in 1987? a promo? did lmbto get a 7" cutting release (i dont know if cutting made 45's)?
2 - is the cd correct and features the 12" version? or does it have the edit version?
3 - could the edit version have been made in '88 specifically for album inclusion or for the b-side of thinking of u.

thx

Can you describe it ? The one that starts with a growling sound, then beats and then "D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D Don´t Break My" on top of that ? If so, this one originates from the Cutting Remixes Album. If it´s not that, I would like to hear it ;-)

Beats Mentions Let Me Be The ONE Not Don't Break My Heart, To Try To Clear Things Up. There Was An Original 45 Released By Cutting Records Of Let Me Be The One, And On The B-side It Contained A Special Accapella Version Of The Song As Well, Tough To Find As Well, On The Cd Yes It Did Contain The 12 Inch Mix, Since People Who Were Playing Songs From A Jukebox Back Then Were Buying Cd's This Is Why The Edited Version Was On The 45, I Hope This Helps

*hide* Embarrasing, should I get some sleep, oh and thanks good info.
Don´t know if beats mean edited = radioedited/version or version with multiedits, anyways "Let Me Be The One" is also on Cutting Remixes with a
special editmix-version that´s not on the 12".

ceesil, thank you kindly for clarifying. you did get what i was asking!!!

gonna have to keep my eyes open for that 45 now.
