Not really, but i'm glad it's falling down. Starting this sept, ratings for all the big shows like Survivor, fear factor and bachlor have been slipping in ratings. More reality TV shows like The Will have been pulled after 1 -6 episodes. The fact is, the shock value of this genre is wearing off, many people are tired of the oversatuation of Reality. Now traditional dramas like Desperate Housewives, Lost, Alias, etc are winning viewers.

Your thoughts!!

I would have to say I hope so. I have a friend who is an actor and all the reality shows put him out of work plus for all of the people who think that crap is real? It's not. It's all made up with the exception of like big brother and the bachelor etc..Let's get back to real drama!

Looks like Dramas are coming back!! reality will still be around, but the shows are no big deal anymore!!!! They do the same stuff on these shows over and over again.

I Have To Agree With You On This One Mike, There Are Nights You Cant Get A Good Show On Because Its All Reality Tv. I Dont Watch Tv To See Reality,n Damnit I Get Enough Of That At Home.

🙂

LOL

I think shows like; The swan, Who's Your Daddy, Wife swap and Amish in The City is what did it. We are like saying:
ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEP I THINK THATS WHAT TOP IT, ESPECIALLY "WHO'S YOU DADDY". YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME....

🙂

I think it's played out. I got tired watching Survivor after the 2nd one. It's gotten out of hand on some shows. I like Apprentice though. My Obnoxious Fiance was funny. Fear Factor is a-aight. though disgusting at times(damn I eat dinner sometimes around that time, lol).

yeah, i agree.actually I hate reality shows and the main reason is it takes jobs away from actors who really need jobs.Networks love reality shows because it's way cheaper.Basically they dont want to pay actors. This is a discussion I had with popular older actor Robert Donner who played Exidor on "Mork & Mindy".I asked him many questions and the main one I had for him is about realty Tv, since I love acting and will be pursuing it very soon.

Looks like being cheaper is not better now. Now reality is getting expensive by having celebs host reality shows. The Ex-contestants/cast want bigger fees for reunions. Ex. Real World/Road Rules gets big fees for participating in RW/RR Challanges!! Sadly, Road Rules; a reality TV pioneer is gonna get canned by MTV, RW Philly is not doing that great in the ratings. If those two Reality pioneers are fallen, imgane the state of Survivor.
