Hey ppl!
I heard that Rockell didn't perform at the Summer Rush this year and I found out why!
I went to Monaco's site and basically he said that Rockell was majorly pms'ing that day and instead of arriving to TO, she performed somewhere at the States (New Jersey I think) and wanted Z103 to buy her tickets to come back to TO, Canada.
Have you guys noticed recently that Z1035 has stopped playing Rockell? The reason why is because they're the ONLY radio station to support her and her music. 😛
Monaco was mad 😡 when he posted on his message board, saying that they won't support her anymore.
 
Damn, that sucks, no more Rockell? I mean if she PMS'ed then it's her fault... but they should just settle things, cause me likey Rockell's music. 😀
 
thats not the only radio station that plays her stuff........
 
lol, listen if the radio station doesn't like one artist or the artist doesn't like the radio station they shouldn't just stop playing her/his music, that's just stupid. I mean the radio station and all other radio stations say they play what the people want and if the people want her or not her songs should be played regardless of personel feelings.
 
Let's put it this way THEREO, both sides need each other, its sort of a partnership, I'll give you an example, a few years ago (when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) and old pre-historic ginos such as I (HAHAHAHA) use to go to the original Pallazzo's on Airport road, Stevie B stiffed one of the local radio stations (Hot 103.5 at the time, or Z103 as it is named today!) by not showing up to 2 sold out shows at Pallazzo's, the crowd was so pissed of that major turmoil broke out and they started losing their "Freestyle Saturday" crowd as it was back then.


Now (surprise, surprise) all of a sudden you wouldn't be able to hear a Stevie B song on the air neither on Hot 103.5 or the rival station which was Power 88.5 which was their rival Freestyle/Dance station, somehow certain Dj's, club promoters and club Dj's managed to put their diferences and competitive sides away and agree not to play ANY Stevie B track!!!

Toronto is a major contributor to Stevie's popularity, (and yes we know he is just if not more popular with our American Friends from this site!!) Feeling no luv from Toronto MR Stevie B got on the horn with the local radio stations and apologized for the actrocities he committed, and POOF Stevie B coming outta every speaker across the land!!

This is why Entertainers (Freestyle Music or not ) should have a good rapport with local stations, were their BREAD AND BUTTA!

So sooner or later Rockell should figure out the situation and things should be back to normal!! Hopefully for her sake!!!

Ain't that the truth. I've seen it happen. Sometimes it's just politics. 😱 It'll work itself out, hope it's soon cuz Rockell is awesome. Luv listening to her music especially her new CD Instant Pleazure ... 😀

88.5 and 103.5 were, and still are, sister stations. I think 108 and 103.5 were also sisters before they sold 108 to Shaw. But I remember the Stevie B boycott, they finally had to relent because too many people were requesting him.

Yeah we all had the brown suede boots, the straight cut jeans and of course the hairstyle , wings and more wings!! And be sure to wear your jacket off the shoulders!! HAHAHAHA

If you guys cant picture it, Try watching any old episodes of KNIGHT RIDER, thats how most guys dressed like David Hasselhoff!

Or if we were feeling in a sporty mood, off went the boots, and on came the adidas runners like RUN DMC use to wear even with the fat laces 😛

hey does anyone still watch knight rider on re-runs that show is crazy i always wanted to get an '83 trans am and make it in to kit, i even found a company in the states that had a similar dash/console that turned the gages from what they are, in to little lights
