on horseback

This is very rare nowadays, but I remember when they were still some groups that rode them on horseback and it's very beautiful

The whole history of this tradition is a lot longer, what I have writen here is just what has come down from my grandfather (R.I.P.) and from my cousin. I know there is more to it, because these have changed from time to time.
When I was small all the kids would collect the tinkerbells from the participants and the girls would put them on their pony tails and sneakers so as to make noise. The more tinkerbells you had, the lucky you were 'cause you'd get to scare the bad spirits away.

entering the town plaza

Note the model masks on the window above la carroza (float) these are made of a pliable wire mesh and take a restricted traditional shape.

It hasn’t changed much, how long have you been without visiting Arecibo or Hatillo?
There have been some changes (I moved to the City 7 years ago and there are some differences) a lot of malls and more house being built here and there. I love over there you just can’t find any jobs in that area.
