Who are those actors, singers/rappers and sports stars who you thought was great but later started decreasing in quality?

Mariah Carey. She was the next Whitney Houston I thought. But after her Butterfly album, she took a bad turn. She is just trying to hard to be hip hop oriented.

Shawn Kemp. He was the most awesome dunker on the court. But in 1998 it started to go bad with his drug problems and all his baby mommas. Now his fat an overweight and can barely shoot now.
 
Whitney Houston.....what a waste of an amazing talent! Her voice is still good, but compared to how she sounded when she first started out, when she sang all her great ballads, she doesnt compare.
 
Tonya Harding

She was the best jumper in figure skating. Was the only American woman who could land the Triple Axel jump.

After she won the National Championships in 1991, she cut back on her training, began playing "musical coaches" and started blaming everyone but herself for her problems.

She was an Olympic medal contender, but in 1992 finished 4th, and in 1994 finished 8th.
 
Robert DeNiro. Back in the days, nobody was badder than DeNiro. But after Heat(Al Pachino, same thing), he has been in horrible movies. Robbie, Al, you guys are too good for crap like Meet The Parents.
 
mikee, I agree with you on most things but I have to disagree on this one. Bobby D is still one of the greatest actors of all times, and meet the parents was funny as hell he proved he could play charecters other than goombahs or insane people. beside being hella cool dude is hella funny.

Eddie Murphy. Back in the days, mainly in Eddie Murphy RAW!!, he just had you laughing to the point where he had you crying!! He was Chris Rock and Burnie Mack before their time. Now, what has happened to Eddie. His movies now stink!!
 
Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey still have amazing voices and can still knock down about 95% of the artist's out there right now.

They can't continue to keep singing ballads throughout their careers, but I think they've made their mark in the music world.

We all go through problems. We all have our good and bad times. Unfortunatly, we don't live in the spotlight. They do. If I had a camera in front of me all the time, you'd see my good & bad times as well.
 
Mos def Mariah Carey...I thought she was amazing and one of the best and with her breakdown, crappy movie/cd/songs I don't even really remember the good stuff...she does have a good voice unfortunatly she don't know what to do with it...and honestly I prefer Mariah's other music over her ballads

TLC yup they used to be fave group and ok yeah Left Eye has passed but she worked on the last cd...that last cd sucked big time...i heard it once its been tossed somewhere ever since
 
I definitely agree with you on Mariah... omg, someone throw her a bra. Granted, that's not what this is about... but her focus seems to be looking all slutish and not the great singer she onces was. I can't even get through one of her songs without thinking,... ILL. lol

Mike Tyson. I'm sorry... I know how allot of you feel about him, but he was once powerful and great... He let bad people into his life and then allowed them to make bad decisions for him and it was all down hill for him after that. Not to mention marrying that evil woman Robin Givens or whatever her name is.
 
Also a lot of hip-hop artists...once they hit it big most of the time they aint as good as they were before 🙁
 
Madonna, and I agree about Mariah. She keeps re-writing the same songs. How many "Hero" songs do we need? But I secretly still love her. Madonna has been a disappointment to me since "Ray of Light." I was a big fan before that and haven't heard anything since then to make me love her again (although I do like the new Gap commercial).

For me it would have to be three,
Madonna for her new holier than thou attitude.
Mariah definitely took a turn for the worst.

But most of all wright now would be J-LO
After she said she grew up listening to Freestyle but would never want to sing it, I was devistated.
Almost like she forgot her roots.:mad :angered :sosad :bangbang
 
I have to agree with Whitney. When she first started out, she was classy and elegant. And her first 2 albums were the best!!! But she ruined her character. And while I cant deny that she still has a good voice, her overall image has changed and not for the better.
