WELL, EXPOSE AND TAYLOR DAYNE CAME OUT A YEAR OR 2 BEFORE PAULA, BUT PAULS WAS JUST PLAIN DANCE. I REALLY EVEN DONT KNOW IF THE HARD CORE DANCE CLUBS EVEN PLAYED HERE. HER "STRAIGHT UP" DANCE VERSION IS SLAMMIN, THOUGH.

yo kid everybody in miami always consider EXPOSE as freestyle....power 96 always mentioned them as a miami freestyle group since back in the 80's. still till this day you hear EXPOSE on all the freestyle mix shows down here...they were the ones who exploded with the miami freestyle sound. they later crossed on to pop but that first album was very much miami dance/freestyle

it wasnt a crossover. they were just trying to stick with todays sound. and their "freestyle" stuff then was considered pop. so they have always been pop.

expose is/was freestyle .. they wasnt exclusively freeestyle but they were recognize as freestyle artists. if u remember watchin that latin explosion back on MTV when they interview Marc Anthony, he was naming some of the freestyle artist like george lamond, cynthia, etc .. he also mentioned expose
