No Not Today
Engulfed in a sea of emotions,
Almost drowning,
I can’t see, I cant breath,
I’m overcome by this weakness,
Inside of me.
Spell bound, no ones around,
Sometimes I feel as if my feet can’t touch the ground.
Can I get witness?
To the insomnia that proceeds,
Begging, pleading, for more then just a dream.
Shadows play a knock on the door,
No not today, eyes search the darkness,
As a light dimly lights the way,
Evasive in ways, what are words what do they say.
Do I exist, or am I a mirage,
So close yet so far.
Heart leaps out my chest,
Stands before me, looks me right in the face,
No Angie not today.
Sweet serenades, how many days.
So surreal, so unreal the silence as it caresses me.
I make it mine for one more night,
Tears drop like rain drops,
As they cascade across my face,
Like the rain does on any given day.
The calm before the storm,
But soon it will rain,
No not today.
But when it does let it rain.
