New School Freestyle Artists

Hello CF Peeps!!!

This is your Man, The G Man coming at ya from CF headquarters here in
Fabulous Brooklyn, New York.

I want to comment on a few issues.

1) CF Peeps are the greatest fans I have ever met

2) CF Peeps have their own valuable opinions

In response to the recent New School bashing posts that I have seen...

I would like to thank all the New School Freestyle Artists who are featued in
our New School Artist Showcase.

These artists not only have to do their music, their public relations, their
everything with their own budget. They also have taken the initiative to
contact me and get into the Artist Showcase. It's not easy dealing with
me to begin with but they did it. PROPS. I am Very Happy to know that
hundreds of people have viewed the showcase and learned about the New
School Artists of ClubFreestyle. Thank you for helping to make it a success.
You can enyoy the show case for weeks to come.

I have noticed a couple of member expressing their opinions on the
Artists. Some were direct and some were indirect.

The ClubFreestyle community Gives props and shows love to everyone who
tries. Some of the best in the world were not always the best at what they
do. Its the Artists who keeps at it, the artists who better themselves.
Those are the Artists who make it.

Babe Ruth was not always a super star home run hitter. He also had
the Most strike outs.

I know first hand what it feels like to be put down. When I first started
this community and still today people will try to descourage my ideas and
actions. I listen to their opinions but I do not take it to heart. Because I
know what I am doing much like you New School Artist know what you are
doing better then anyone on the outside. So please Artits keep on going. I
beleive in you, CF Mods Beleive in you and so do hundreds of CF members.

New School Artists you are respected and loved. Please work on it and
keep it going. We LOVE the direct download links and we want you to
know that you are good and the fact that you are trying shows that
you love the music. We know you are not gettign paid and you are doing
it for the love and I hope you all get paid bigtime one day.

May The Freestyle Be With You.

Exactly!!! :cheers

I would also like to make it clear that I hold no ill will toward the people who
posted their opinion in the other threads. More people should be straight out.
In my thread here I wanted to be sure that these great hard working artists
got recognition for their work in Freestyle.

IMO, some NuSchool is just great and some is just horrible, but like Chuck said in the other thread, one man's trash is another's treasure...You know what would be really cool, is if all of the Freestyle artists of yesteryear banded together and created one big label and put the NuSchool peeps under the label and at the same time hold auditions for that next great artist to bring it back....Freestyle Idol LOL!!!!! I mean hell, the genre should get a reality show with all the drama that goes up in here!

What kind of post was that Carlito? I am not sure what
WOW means in this case.

CF Members post up your support for these Artists in
this thread or start your own. Let's show the New School artists
some luv!!!!!

to all u new skool , we including myself deserve this oppertunity cause it took guts, strength and love of the music to still keep it going till this day, people say its going down but as long as we are still here freestyle will still get its "SHINE!"

MAny do work hard at what they do..so here's :cheers to the Nu School.

I don't think it really matters if any of the Nu Schoolers don't have the best vocals or production - when freestyle was at it's peak there were some very talented singers and there were some who could not sing their way out of a paper bag who had real record deals with known labels.

I don't think any of the Nu Schoolers are exactly shooting for international supestardom; if they were, they would be pursuing a much more commercial and lucrative genre of music. I believe they do this purely for the love of freestyle and because they really enjoy making the music they love and the reaction of their fellow freestyle fans. As a professional singer and ASCAP songwriter, I can tell you that it is not easy to write a song and arrange a production, no matter WHAT style of music it is in. There are a lot of people I have met over the years who claim they are "actors" or "singers" who are total BS artists and have not so much as gone on one audition. I respect the people here on this board for at least trying and giving it their best shot.

If someone is being creative, and doing something they love, whose business is it to tell them they have no right to be doing it? Have you ever gone to a club and seen someone who CANNOT dance to save their life and is having a total blast? As long as someone is enjoying themselves and are not hurting someone else, there are a lot more important things in the world to worry about.

Well said Damian Wild......:yeey....... :fkinaman ........

to all the new skool artist you guys rock and myself and the rest of the dallas freestyle listening fans would like to thank you all for bringing us the music we all love.. peace!

New schoolers get my love and support!

I've bought cds/singles from acts like Nu Image, Ashley, Ayna, Latin Nation, Angel Moreno, Willie Valentin, Synthia Figueroa, and others.

They will continue to get my support at their shows, and on my station.

Well... I have to say this thread is a welcome and refreshing change to the usual posts. Thank you.

All the new school acts out there. If you're first releases don't do well, find out what you may have missed the first time, then go back to the drawing board & work harder.

Don't trip about what a few peas in a pod say on this board to intentionally insult or downplay your work...IT WILL NOT not matter in the long run and will be forgotten about sooner than you think. At the same time, be true to yourself....be a REAL artist. Don't put material out there that even you know deep in your heart could be better.

It's the opinion of the majority you're music has reached, that counts in the end. If no copies of your stuff are being requested, you know what to do. Drawing board. Don't give up. Be creative. Work for yours. EARN the right to called an "Artist".

Thanks for all the love, there's alot of Hard working artists who do their homework and work their butt of with no support. But yet they go out there and do their best for all the fans.
I agree that there's alot also that need work, but that doesn't mean they can not be mold. With the right help they can progress and move foward. All this BS about our music sucks really turn down the new ears that are trying to listen. There's gotta be a better way to critic a song or and artists without hurting 1. their pride, 2. their feelings, & 3. starting drama.
I will like to say I had my time with the legends had the honor to performed with them share a stage. Not all have been gold. But those times are different.
With no support from the radio, or clubs there's no way to brake in but through the fans. And thats hard as it is.
I'm glad I had my time to share with all the new school artists, I will be there for them and hope for them to be there for me.
I do music because I want to, because I love freestyle, because this is me. I've been doing it since 88, and will continue to do it.
I do what I can to make the fans Happy, if you don't like it, sorry but I Can't Pleaze Everyone. Not everybody is going to like your song, it's cool. Just try harder for the next track and hope for the best. Nu Schoolers, or better yet My Dear Artists just do your best and Keep ya head up!!!
