Oh, where can I get copies? Are you doing any shows in the New York area? I'll love to go see it. I always wanted to be a singer, I have a good voice and a really nice body, but I was always nervous. besides I never knew where to start.

check out the section further below. singing voice, you might find someone there who may want to listen to you. you never know.

I do shows all the time. the most recent was the FREESTYLE FLASHBACK concert at ROXY's a month ago.

Now and Forver is by Little Suzy because I had the CD and Midnight Passion was by Alisha I remember that too. Who's Got Your Love I think I heard before, but I always thought that was by April. Did you do remakes of them? I'll like to hear them.
understandable mistakes sweetie, but I recommend hearing her music. she's an awesome artist who always thinks highly of her fans. most def try to look out for it...

Little Mama- You must be a "new" member! Hehehe. "Who's Got Your Love" is definitely the track that got me into Nyasia's music. Especially after seeing her perform live back in 1993. Mama, quiero decir algo, a lot of people in here know their shit, so if you have any doubts about which artist sings what song, just ask. I don't want you to make a fool out of yourself. But I agree, with so many artists doing remakes and using exactly the same titles for their songs, it can be pretty confusing. I'm glad that my thread has resparked the flame and hopefully something good can come out of this. Someone needs to talk to Tommy Mottola or Emilio Estefan.

Yeah....Freestyle tours are really hard to mount. Safire was supposed to do "Ladies of the 80's tour" last year. But it never came about. From what I heard, a lot of club venues just didn't want to commit to having a line up of 3 ladies (Safire, Gioia and Jade from Pretty Poison) perform when none of them had a current radio hit. And before everyone starts riffing "What about 'Can You Stand the Rain'?" True it was a hit in the dance markets like NY, Chicago, Miami, and Northern Cali. But outside of that, it was not a well known song.

On another note, just wanted to say what's up to everyone. I have recently made a big move to Los Angeles to further my career. I was able to do an independent short film tentatively titled "Naked" before I left NY. The movie is scheduled for 2004 release, but I kind of realized that I need to be on the west coast if I want to go all the way with this career!!

And yes, even in Los Angeles, there is no escaping freestyle. Summertime usually marks a resurgance of all things freestyle and this summer is no exception. The Cover Girls and Gioia are scheduled to make appearances out here later this month.

All the best,
Justin a/k/a J Stylez

yeah what ever happened to the Freestyle Forever tours? I've never been to a freestyle concert but I defintally go if one comes to chicago
