Hello everyone,

Please name 10 Freestyle artists that you would nominate
as Official 'CF Freestyle Hall Of Famers'

We will be working on commending top artists that truly
made our music what it is. This wont happen for a while
until we get a good grip on the situation, but please post
your picks now.

More threads to follow with more questions on this topic.

CF has been planning this for quite some time now. We
want to honor the people who gave us so much. We will
try to get these artists to come by and say a few words.

wow, I love so many more than 10 artists but for HALL OF FAME I had to sit back & think hard. Thus, I am giving a name & a reason so everyone understands my choices.

1) Nelson "FFWD" Cruz

Look at his track record. I don't need to explain further.

2) TKA

One of the founders of freestyle. Still holding it down. Always respectful. Long list of hits. Loyal to their fans.

3) Judy Torres

Amazing voice. Down to earth personality. Still promoting freestyle (KtU). She never gave up when people put her down. A true diva.

4) Johnny O

Legend. One of the greatest artists ever on the Mic-Mac label. Tons of hits. Extremely down to earth. Loves his fans.

5) Willie Valentin

Singer, Producer. Down to earth. Loyal to freestyle & his fans. Bringing us new freestyle.

6) Lisette Melendez

Partially responsible for bringing freestyle back before it faded in the 90s. Promoted new school sound. Not afraid to try new things.

7) Nyasia

Also partially responsible for bringing freestyle back. Amazing voice. Loyal to her fans. Down to earth. She loves what she does. She is also a very big part of the clubfreestyle.com community.

8) Cynthia

Diva. Amazing voice. Part of the old school generation but she never faded away. Down to earth & loyal to her fans. Bangs out hit after hit.

9) George Lamond

One of the best performers I have ever seen live. Even though he is technically no longer a "freestyle" artist, freestyle is still in his roota & I believe he deserves to be honored for that.

10) Sa-Fire

Back with an attitude. Beautiful & talented. This girl does it all! Amazing voice, loyal to her fans. Just release a banging CD. Much props go to Sa-Fire, she is an amazing talent.

Nayobe - "Please Don't Go," "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait," "Second Chance for Love," "It's Too Late." A true legend of freestyle -- the first and the innovator.

Corina - "Out of Control," "Give Me Back My Heart," "Loving You Like Crazy," "Temptation," "Whispers," "Now That You're Gone." A pretty impressive list of freestyle songs to her credit, Corina was one of the early freestyle artists who managed to maintain a career in freestyle over a period of years. She has always been an underrated gem of the genre.

Cover Girls - With a song list too long to mention, the Cover Girls burst onto the scene with "Show Me," and continued their reign as the best female freestyle group. Their songs were catchy and danceable.

TKA - See above comments about the Cover Girls and switch genders. These guys were truly the innovators of the genre.

Cynthia - "Change On Me," "Love Me Tonight," "Thief of Hearts," "Endless Night," and the list goes on and on. This girl defined the Mic Mac sound and continues to bring us slamming freestyle till today.

Safire - Again, too many hits to mention them all, but I chose Safire not only for her solo hits, but for the backgrounds she did for & More ("You'll Never Find Another Love") and Sam-uel ("Open Your Eyes"), which are two of my favorite freestyle songs. Her contribution to freestyle is immeasurable.

India - "Dancing On The Fire," "Mirage," "Right From The Start," this woman has major chops and not only turned freestyle on its ear, but has conquered the difficult Salsa market with ease.

George Lamond - As a solo artist, George is the King of Freestyle, though he humbly considers Stevie B the king. George has always been one of us -- a New Yorker who helped form the Ligosa sound.

Judy Torres - "Come Into My Arms," "No Reason to Cry," "Please Stay Tonight, "Love You Will You Love Me," etc., Judy burst onto the scene with her amazing voice and strong stage presence.

Coro - "Where Are You Tonight," "Fallen Angel," "Can't Let You Go," Coro is one of those artists who has just always been around since "Where Are You Tonight" was such a huge hit. He has an incredible voice and should always be regarded for his contributions to freestyle.
