What do u guys think?

Underated Freestyle artists...

LISETTE MELENDEZ-paved the way for new school artists of today, she deserves more love, definitly a great singer/dancer.

MIGUEL REYES-unique & original sound in new school, a great singer as well.

NATALISE-a gifted songwrier/musician, with a sweet voice.

MARISOL-should have a Freestyle album out, one of the best voices in new school.

ELISSA-A great Freestyle talent, Elissa should be bigger star.

ASHLEY-a great voice & production, should be getting more love.

ZOE-a sweet voice and talented artist, also should be a bigger star.

I agree with Miguel Reyes. This man should have gone alot further than he did.

I don't think Lissette is underrated I think she gets alot of love, she's done her thing.

Marisol got very dissapointed in the business from what I heard, unfortunately it happens more often than not. I would have liked for her to stick around she has a great voice, she really knows how to project what she is selling in the songs.

and I also agree with Peter Fontaine.. great sexy voice.

Chrissy I-Eece. She was always one of my faves but compared to a lot of other female freestyle artists, she seemed to be under the radar.

Marisol (Judy Torres absolutely LOVES Marisol's voice- FYI).."Beginning of the End" is one of my favs

Synthia Figueroa- "You Were Meant For Me"- hands down awesome song

Miguel Reyes- "Those Were The Times"

donna williams (what else did she do besides true love never dies? great song)
most canadian acts: elissa, zoe, freda, dimi

JOE, I agree 100% with you. PURE PLEAZURE doesn't get mentioned at all in most cases of great FREESTYLE ARTISTS. These guys put out some great tracks in the mid and late 90's.

"WHITE DOVE" was and is such a good song, everything about the song was very well put together. I just can't believe that this song and this group doesn't get the respect a lot of Freestyle artists get. I strongly believe that they were one of the best Freestyle group/artist in the industry.

I really wish that they would come back, but I know that they broke up a long time ago. Does anyone know anything about them???? Last I heard was that Mykl Astorga was doing some different type of material.

Peace,
Ricardo

I must agree with you guys..Marisol is an awesome singer. I absolutely love her songs Why Cant You tell Me and Beginning of the End.

In terms of solo recording artists, I don't know about anyone else but I would definitely have to say Sammy C is one of the most underrated artists along with Miguel Reyes. Both Sammy C and Miguel Reyes entered the freestyle industry around the same time and had so much talent (especially with their own lyrics) between the two of them. Not to mention both of them even released solo albums around the same time and collaborated on each other's songs in the past.

Now in terms of groups/duos, I have to agree with JOE and RICKYQ that Pure Pleazure were so underrated along with groups like Pain. Both groups should of been accepted by mainstream music and given more exposure.

But in my opinion, Lisette Melendez, Peter Fontaine and Sam Savon, Chrissy I-eece are definitely not underrated. Not just because they are old school artists but because their songs (hits) are still till' this very day given exposure on mainstream radio.

Latino wit talent..with the exception of Lisette Melendez, I hardly hear any of the other singer's music on the radio. Judy Torres plays Just Like The Wind sometimes, but I hardly ever hear songs by Sam Savon or Chrissy I-Eece.

I don't think Safire is underated either... being that she is still played all over not just here in NY.. but I agree with Sonya and Sebastian.
