O how could I forget..One of the new school artist from Nu-image Tyree,,That boy can sing his ass off,He puts all emtions and his soul into each verse he sings..I hardly get chills from artist but his voice does that...He got mad soul and his adlibs are soo natural I know hes in a group wich I love but as a indivdual he doesnt get the recognition I think he deserves,,Tyree can sing his azz off...
 
Definitely Miguel Reyes, my favorite singer and very underrated. His voice is very unique and different and his CD is off the hook!!!! Glad to see everyone that posted here appreciates his sound!!!!!!! And also Pure Pleazure, they had alot of freestyle hits in the 90's.
 
Underated to me is when an artist isnt given thre props for there overal achievements and when it comes to that I feel Safire is def underated when so many other people are praised not having accomplished as much as her musically she gets her spin.s
 
the boys in the lab, nightmares of tomorrow. even though that was their only track i feel this group should have gone alot further than they did. in my opinion this was one of the most deepest freestyle tracks ever written.

I'm not saying these days ... but back in the day (old school era) songs by Sam Savon and Chrissy I-eece were given a decent amount of exposure.

I would also disagree about NV being underrated. We can't forget his songs "some kind of love" and the played out "Girl you hear my crying" that gets play from time to time on the radio.
 
NV to me is deff underated he dont get spins in NY I cant say there has been one time I have heard his songs played on reg rotation or at all . I guess I must have misinterpreted the question because I took it as underrated overall the people on my list dont get the love they deserve for how fukin awesome they vocal skills areand fo sho dotn get reg spins.

Sexyangel this is the same reason why I put Lisette Melendez on my list.She was the very few if not the only one-when new school came out, had video play on MTV in constant rotation, when MTV called Freestyle club music.She & carlos Berrios opened the door to Freestyle to listeners, who did not know what Freestyle was.At that time, not many Latinas on TV.Safire we all love & more dance fans should know who she is, I live in california, were some people still call Freestyle high energy music and many never heard of the name Safire, she definitly deserves to be a bigger star.
