Who is the most OVERRATED Freestyle artist, in your opinion?
I'll begin by answering my own question. All you haters get your fingers ready because I'm about to piss alot of you off!!!
I think the most overrated Freestyle artist out there is: Lil' Suzy.
Here is why...She has not had a good song, make that album since 1995 (LIFE GOES ON) but yet everyone claims that she is the personification of Freestyle. With each new release she makes I always hear claims that it is her best work to date. When I hear it for myself I laugh and say "you've got to be kidding"...
To hype someone up as much as Lil' Suzy - don't you think her material should at least be enjoyable to listen to? I think her career would still be in good shape (music-wise) if she had stayed with Tony Garcia. The collaboration between Tony Garcia & Elvin Molina could have been used to Suzy's advantage and taken her sound in a great new direction. Instead she took another route and got herself caught in a rut...
