With the tag "100% dance and freestyle", they mean it! DJ Encore, Gigi D'Agostino, Nice'n'wild, Stevie B., Fiori, David Guetta, Rockell, Sonique, Mon A Q, Science, Angelina, Daniel Beddingfield,... I love this station! And at 5 freestyle songs on the avergae per hour on this afternoon, I could not ask for better! no hip, no rap, no r&b, i love it. And they are bashing the competition left, center, right everytime they can! RIGHT ON!

And especially, love the freestyle mega hit by Fiori "take me where U are" , a la Sonqiue "it feels so good". I am glad it is finally on a radio station in the US!!! tune in! www.party931.com

it's aight bassbump...till i hear a all freestyle show which they should have...i'll praise the station then...but i love the idea and the station is great!!!!103.5 plays 5 freestyle songs an hour!!!!

If you go onto their website www.party931.com, you can check out a list of songs that have been played throughout the day. And basically, they seem to played the same freestyle songs by johnny 0, stevie b, lissette melendez, cynthia/johnny 0 duet and maybe 1 or 2 other songs. Wheres CORINA, TKA, SAFIRE, GEORGE LAMOND, JUDY, ETC????

that's the old stuff you are listing. They are playing the latest freestyle hits from DJ Encore, Fiori, Gigi D'Agostino, Kosheen, Diana Fox, David Guetta, Daniel Beddinfield,Mix Factory ('take me away' kicks a$$!),etc. with the odd Cynthia, Sonique, Science,Precious johnny o and lisette thrown in on rotation. Focus on the new stuff even if it is from europe or new branded artists on major labels whose tracks are not known to you yet.

Rather then just check the previous songs played listings, click on "listen" and give the new freestyle tracks a chance to grow on you.

I keep blasting Fiori "Take me where U are". phuck! it is great!

Yo, Precious (Precious Little Fantasy, Why Can't You See) has a new song out and its HOT. Its progressive/ breakbeat freestyle (like Science, Gillette. etc.). Its 142 bpms, which is fast for freestyle, but the song is def. off the hook. Hopefully, Party 93.1 will be putting it into rotation.

whoa! since when were DJ Encore, Gigi D'Agostino, Kosheen, Fiori, Mix Factory and some of the others you mentioned freestyle? based on classifying music like that as freestyle then maybe they play 5 freestyle songs an hour. But really, it's about 1 freestyle song per 1-3 hours. not much at all.

I thought so, that all the clubs are 21+ there. That's alright cause I'm going to Miami to relax and to do some outdoor stuff like biking and tennis which I can't do in the cold Virginia weather.

I'll leave the clubbing for when I go to Canada!!

CAFREESTYLER

You obviously have not embraced the new sound of freestyle that is popular commercially here in canada and Europe with branded artists and major label pressings. I don't care much for the classic sound of the 80's you seem to refer to (unless it is brand new broadcast quality material) and love the old school, progressive, breakbeat, electro and 2 step freestyle sounds of Fiori, Larissa, DJ Encore, Gigi D'Agostino, Sonique, Sweet TB, David Guetta, The Underdog Project, Flying Steps, Freda, Kathy Phillips, Freestyle Project, Rockell, Pandera, Diana Fox, Science, Daniel Bedingfield, Lil Suzy, Adam Marano, MC G Gabriel, Kosheen, Boomfunk MC's, Stonay, Elissa, Smash, Mix Factory, Free System,...more that are featured on Party 93.1.

And I am glad that Party 93.1 walks the talk when they say 100% dance and freestyle. Finally a station that means it!

blastin' Fiori "Take me where U are" and DJ Encore feat. Engelina "I See Through you (Al B. Rich Remix).

BIG PRAISES to PARTY 93.1 FOR KEEPING THE FREESTYLE VIBE ALIVE! TURN IT UP!

Kosheen is drum & bass

The other ones are pretty much all breaks...fine by me..i love breaks and drum&bass. But they dont play much freestyle at all.

When I went to Miami two weeks I listened to Party 931 and I loved it!!! Not only did they play the old school stuff, but they also played some new songs that really kick ass. I enjoyed it!

quadosh: you mean they don't play the old school 80's songs as much, you are right and why should they? we are in 2002. Enjoy the breakbeat, electro and 2 steps sounds of freestyle they are airing. Freestyle needs as much exposure as possible on the air and an outlet like 93.1 is just what we needed.

Still blastin' FIORI "Take Me Where U Are" and DJ Encore feat. Engelina "I See Through You". keep the freestyle vibe alive!

actually I am a bigger fan of new school than old school, but I know dance music, and many of the artists/songs you mentioned are not new freestyle. those songs are new dance music, but not new freestyle. and I do like some of those songs you mentioned, but would never call it freestyle.

(unless it is brand new broadcast quality material) and love the old school, progressive, breakbeat, electro and 2 step freestyle sounds of Fiori, Larissa, DJ Encore, Gigi D'Agostino, Sonique, Sweet TB, David Guetta, The Underdog Project, Flying Steps, Freda, Kathy Phillips, Freestyle Project, Rockell, Pandera, Diana Fox,
Science, Daniel Bedingfield, Lil Suzy, Adam Marano, MC G Gabriel, Kosheen, Boomfunk
MC's, Stonay, Elissa, Smash, Mix Factory, Free System,...more that are featured on
Party 93.1.

ok of those artists I will give this to you:
Sweet TB, Adam Marano, Flying Steps, Rockell, Elissa, Lil Suzy, Free System and some others you mentioned, for example are freestyle. But the version of Gigi D'Agostino that 93.1 plays is not freestyle, the DJ Encore version is trance/breakbeat, Sonique is sort of breakeat (definitely not freestyle), Diana Fox is trance/breakbeat, Bomfunk MC's are drum&bass, same with Kosheen (I don't even know how Kosheen would ever show up in a freestyle conversation.

Enjoy the breakbeat, electro and 2 steps
sounds of freestyle they are airing. Freestyle needs as much exposure as possible on the air and an outlet like 93.1 is just what we needed.
those are not sounds of freestyle, those are different types of dance music, so no freestyle is not getting the exposure it needed. I will say that some songs called "breakbeat" can sound freestyle. but none of the breakbeat songs you mentioned fall under that category.
93.1 is playing 90% trance with some house here and there, and about 1 freestyle song per 1-3 hours, trust me I've been listening non-stop. if you want to talk new freestyle, then artists like Rockell, Free System, Rosalinda, Elissa, Angelina, Christina Marie, Kenny freestyle, Stephanie Bennett, Julissa, Collage are some of the artists. if we have to call Kosheen or Gigi D'Agostino freestyle, then that shows you how sad of a state freestyle is in if we try to call those songs freestyle to get attention or feel good about our music.

Your are certainly entitled to your opinion. The new style of freestyle outside of the USA and that is getting major mainstream airplay and interest includes breakbeat, electro, 2 step, planet rock and the old 80's old school style that you appear to be fond of. Regardless, play it loud and enjoy freestyle in all its forms including the new breakbeat sounds of Fiori and DJ ENCORE.

Praising Power 93.1 for continuing to keep the freestyle vibe alive!
