I don't think any assumptions should be made about who has spoken up or not. The station don't give a rat's ass who calls to voice there opinions about the artist that were not allowed to perform. I for one don't like the fact that my friends (Nelson, Legitt & Willie V) weren't allowed to perform, that shit does bother me, cause they have been in the industry longer and as long as I have. and as there is always two sides to a story, I like to hear both sides before I start calling anywhere. I always side with the artists, being that I am one myself. I represent myself, so when it comes down to it, I alone will be speaking for me, But I can assure you that it won't make a good goddamn what I say, or what Judy might say or George Lamond or anybody else says, because in the end, the station runs the shit. The truth sucks, but it's nothing new, we have been going through this since the beginning of this genre, and it ain't about to change now.

THEN THEY'LL REALLY HAVE TO LISTEN AND RESPECT ALL FREESTYLE RECORDING ARTISTS, THEIR REPRESENTATIVES AND MUSIC.

AT THAT POINT IN TIME THEY'LL REALIZE AND/OR GET THE WAKE UP CALL THAT THEY NEED YOU MORE THAN YOU NEED THEM.

WHAT THE HELL IT ISN'T LIKE THEY'RE REALLY PLAYING NEW FREESTYLE MUSIC ALL DAY OR NIGHT ON THEIR RADIO STATIONS OR IN THEIR CLUBS.

MAMA, trust me everything you've said is true, and they are ideas that have gone through our own heads, but in the end, the very reason that brought freestyle down (The absence of unity) is what is keeping it down, as unfortunate as that sounds. As for us telling the stations"No we won't perform unless" you think they will truly get upset at that? no, they will be like well ok bye then, we have hiphop, r&b, dance, pop, techno, we don't need a few old schoolers on the rotation. and that is also unfortunate. People that know me know that when it comes to bakcing something up, I have a huge mouth, won't give too shits about speaking my mind.lol sometimes too much, whether it's physically or vocally, I back up my fellow artist, ( and they know this from experience) But like I said ma, it would not make a dent, and that is the truth of the matter unfortunately🙁 The lack of Unity, all the behind the door bullshit talk of other artists will never stop in this business, but unlike the rap & hiphop industry instead of shutting them up by progressing, we let it fall apart.

But trust me girl, I understand what your saying all the way.

Unless you are in the business...what went on that night with any of the acts is NO ONE's BUSINESS BUT the artist and the station. Nuff said!

It's disappointing to me that I didn't get to see Willie and Legit perform! Hopefully next time things will be handled better then they were this time.

fans have all the right to say everythign...without the fans there would be no artist, no concert, NO STATION...so we have a right to know what went on...its things like this that make freestyle concerts have low attendence...really why dont u think about that!!!!!

I am just bitchin about this because i feel they deserved to be up there after having them on the radio a few hours before the event hyping everyone up about it...its not fair cause they have busted thier ass and deserve the 5 mintues on stage!!!!
but once again the fans will let it go and nothing will be done...so like i have said before the fans keep freestyle in the sad state its IN!!!!!

Toni? You and I have never really spoken and I don't want to get into all kinds of drama about this with you. Yes I paid to go see the acts they advertised, yes I traveled to see them, yes I was upset they didn't all perform but you guys have to realize my side of it too.

As a fan you are only allowed certain rights if you want to put it that way. I personally don't feel that I need to be bashin on the promoters for what happened. They screwed up and some where down the line its gonna bite them in the ass. It's not for me to sit here and type how wrong they were and demand an explanation. I just don't feel that way.

I've read what was posted here and on other sites. The artists involved have asked us to let it go...that's enough for me.

its not about gettin into drama :blah ...LMAO really...i have been on these boards for along time, and i have seen a lot of sh*t happen with a lot of shows...this is why i am so blunt...the reason why i am so upset is that willie v is one of the hardest working people in freestyle...and i have seen him get shited on way to much...so this type of crap pisses me off!!!!
we need to speak up because this is a constant thing that happens to freestyle music and its artist...i am not prepared to just sit back and let it go

as for the artists letting it go...i dont believe they are getting over it that easy...despite what they say...i think they are upset but dont show it cause they still want the exposure on that radio station...that upsets me even more cause to me they are eating way to much crap!!! they deserve better
and if they feel they cant come out and talk about it, I WILL!!!!!!!!!

I understand where you are coming from too. I guess with me being from New Orleans where there is NO freestyle scene at all...maybe I'm just grateful for what I can get ya know?

I also know what you mean about Willie. I love his stuff and yes hes a very hard worker and for him to think that this was gonna be his comeback and then to be shot down like that...it sucks and I'm NOT disputing that. All I was trying to say is that it's the artist's place to straighten it out and not ours. I don't think they are over it either but who's to say that they aren't raisin all kinds of hell behind the scenes that we don't know about. I just don't think its our place to question it. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Sweety? As for your comments about me calling and requesting freestyle...I gave up on that down here...it's a hopeless cause! Hip hop has my city in a death grip so again...I'm grateful for what I can get. *Shrug*
