To all you fellow freestyle whiz'.

Something I always wanted to know is if this song was in anyway influenced by Lisa Lisa's "I Wonder If I Take You Home". There are so many factors that lead me to believe so.

1. The drum beat starts off similar to "I Wonder If I Take You Home"

2. The girl in the background of the song is chanting "I Wonder".

3. The name of the song "Lisa's coming".

4. The robotic freestyle voice edits also similar to "I Wonder If I Take You Home"

My opinion is that this was The Latin Rascals continuation of Lisa Lisa's classic. This song being the conclusion of the original story-line that implies one to think that the girl really did end up in the guys home.

Either way, it's one of my favorite freestyle jams. It's one of those true freestyle classics. Very creative piece.

Hey, I did not know that the Latin Rascals had a song entitled "Lisa's coming" on which cd is it on. I do know that Full Force the producers of Lisa Lisa made a song on one of their albums that Lisa Lisa sings on. I just cant remember which album it's on, but Full Force responds to her song. It is more of a house/hip hop rap track then a dance track. Also the beat is very much the same as the "I wonder if you take me home" song.

It was a rare title by The Latin Rascals that was only released on vinyl just like their other two titles "Disorderly Conduct" ('87) and "Macho Mozart" ('86) in which were made around the time "Lisa's Coming" ('85) (1 year after "I Wonder If I Take You Home" was put out btw 😉) was produced. "Lisa's Coming" being the rarest of the two I just mentioned. It was not put out on their "When She Goes" CD just in case you're thinking that. "When She Goes" the album came out later in 1989.

Extremely Rare

That Lisa's Coming is extremely rare. We got copies from the Latin Rascals because they did the edits on "Clave Rocks" "Latin Love"and Diva's " I Wanna Breaknite with You" So they hooked us up. We have about 7 copies. The Full Force anwser was "Girl If I Take You Home". Lisa's Coming is one of my favorites. You have good taste!!!

Very rare. I've seen copies sold for more than $100.00!

But I think that this was the Latin Rascals way (version) of implying a continuation of the song by Lisa Lisa. You are lucky to have those 7 copies. Hold on to them. 😉

I just ordered today from Platterpus Music for $25. I should have it by the weekend.
I tracked it down via musicstack.com and they listed 3 places that had a copy. the other 2 copies were going for $127 and $180 one from the Netherlands and the other from Germany. I agree with you Carlito....no way was I purchasing it for $100 +.

i was just on the site they have another for $27 and the others are around $100...................vapro

I purchased the one for $27.50, but when I received a response from Platterpus Music...the guy Bruce told me to check out their website because he had just updated it, so I did, and it was listed on there for $25. So all together with Priority Shipping Handeling of $6 it came to $31. I thought that was pretty damn good for such a rare 12" single, especially when I saw the other 2 were listed on musicstack for well over $100.
