Wow...Dianne Pryor Just cut out of "I won't stop loving you" midway through the song...said her name...this is KTU & went into Kylie Minogue..."can't get you out of my head"
for what reason..why not let the song finish....

I went on KTU's website yesterday..to signup to post for music on thier station...do you know that in the survey they directed me to..as to what my favorite genre of music was...they didn't even have a dance category to select...Uhhhhh
 
I THINK WE SHOULD PROTEST!!!!!!!!!U KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD SOMEHOW PUT TOGETHER A FREESTYLE RADIO STATION..I DONT KNOW HOW.. BUT MAYBE SOMEONE IN HERE KNOWS HOW TO GO ABOUT IT....LET ME KNOW...THEN ALL OUR LIVES WILL BE HAPPY IN OUR OWN FREESTYLE WORLD.....YEAHHHHHHHH😉

i know how upset u are but talk is cheap....

u need to support call and request freestyle. And email the radio stations and let them know both when u happy and when u are upset.

As for a all freestyle radio station there have been strides in getting them up and running. Investigate and support and find out what u can do.

In all honesty, i have heard it happen before on the station, with other top 40 songs. i dont think complaining will make a difference whatsoever.
 
The best we can do is ask for the songs we want to hear.
complaining won't do much...the stations have a format & radio playlist they MUST follow. there may some DJ's that can swing a song or 2 of thier own..but not many
when you look at the KTU playlist & how many times they play certain songs....WHEN do they have time to pay anything out of the roation????

There is DJ..at K 104...Danny V. he dated af riend of mine for a few years...HE HAD a playlist & if he went away from it..for ANY reason...he'd get in deep shit...!

Even if you won the lottery, you wouldn't be able to buy a station in New York City, market #1... a station was recently sold in Denver for I think $88 million, and stations there are definitely cheaper than NYC. If you won amny millions you could buy a station elsewhere. Starting a station in a smaller market would take years (providing there is even room on the dial in that market). So it is nearly impossible, especially for those in the New York area.

True. Our station was fortunate enough to be one of the few to actually still take requests. But even for a short period, we had to stick to a tight playlist and if we ever put anything else in like a request, we'd be in deep sh*t. Most stations today, even if they put a caller on the air saying "Can you play the new J-Lo?" and then they do, what really happened is that they recorded that call in and then played it right before the song which was going to show up anyway. For example, say the new J-Lo was set to play at around 3pm, but the caller happened to request that song 10 minutes before it played, the DJ will conveniently slip in the phone call and it will appear that the request was taken care of and the listener will think he or she just had her request played when in reality it was going to play anyway. Not every station is like that, but most are. Radio is in a sad state right now.
 
I have an idea. Lets all call the radio station and request a 24hr freestyle fix. Does Judy Torres still work for the radio station if so lets give her a call tell her to rig the computer to play freestyle all day long. LOL

ITS SAD BUT TRUE.. I'M REFERRING TO THE RADIO STATIONS RECORDING A CALLERS REQUEST & SAVING IT UNTIL RIGHT BEFORE THE PLAYLIST CALLS FOR IT.. ALMOST ALL STATIONS DO THAT, I GOT TO SAY.. THAT IS HOW THEY GET AWAY W/ PLAYING OUT SONGS..
 
College Freestyle radio Show

I went to Iona college in NY....we had whats called common hour..that was 11:30am to 12:30...the whole college had NO Class..it was asocial time...well the cool thing is a friend & I both had back to back radio shows during this time..2x a week...
We had a KICK ASS Freestyle...thats all we played..those were the days
the other funny thing is Gina from Laisse Fare ( sorry about the spelling)...also wen there...we had her up in the studio a few times.played her stuff..it was alot of fun..!
 
KTU iz kinda WACK that's why i never really lsiten to it LOL.....i was listening to Cher interview yesterday and they were f*ckin up on the playin her songs!!!!:blah
