Ktu Freestyle News Yeahhhh!!!!

First of all, I just want to thank everyone for making SUNDAY NIGHTS ON KTU a huge SUCCESS!!! The new 3 hour format is doing VERY well and my mixshow is getting nothing but positive feedback, thanks to all of you, THE FREESTYLE FANS!!! With well over a million listeners at any given time, we are the most listened to freestyle program ANYWHERE on the radio...I have just supplied Judy with about 40 old school songs that the station did not have that we are going to be incorporating into the station...If you guys caught it last week, Judy played Fascination "Dont You Think Its Time" and TKA/Tony Moran "Is It Love", both of which have NEVER been played on the station before (not counting in mixes). This is only the beginning!!! I am doing my damn well best to bring freestyle to the forefront on KTU...There's nobody else there doing freestyle mixshows except me- so it's all on my shoulders....I hope to continue to hear from you guys on Sunday nights (and Saturday nights coming within the next couple of weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!) to help me continue to make KTU the #1 most listened to station for the freestyle classics, bringing you back to the 86th street days (where my bklyn people at?) 😉

James...I am so happy for you and Judy...the show has improved so much since it went back to 3 hours and you started doing the mix at 11. I am so happy to hear that the ratings are good! And I love the fact that you are starting to play more "rare" freestyle classics...there are so many great songs that never get the airplay they deserve!!! So kudos to you, Judy, and KTU for making us freestyle fans so happy!!!

Regarding Frankie Blue, all I know is that Jeff Z, who is our APD, is taking over for now. Whether or not it stays with him or they bring someone new in has not yet been determined, but I can safely assure you all that this isn't going to shake up the format at all...If anything it might be a positive change in the long run. We will have wait and see...In the meantime, freestyle fans, there are some great plans in the works for the summertime that I'm sure you are all going to love...As always thanks to everyone for their support and all the other stations, djs, clubs and promoters who keep freestyle alive!!!

Great Newz , But they should incorporate some New school Like Latino Mix In NYC and I Listen to Jamz 1067 San Antonio Tx . For theyare giving artist such as Nu Image and Ashley spots in their rotation . Both these artist have a song on a National Distributed Product Bad Boy Joe Vol 3 .

Im glad you are spinning Freestyle However This genre can t always depend on the Seniors Circuit , Its time to move on Let the Nu Schoolers get some airplay.

well, I only wish that many fans from this site supported all the freestyle acts at DNA. for the past 2 years, they have always booked freestyle acts but now, since there is no big draw, they will not do as many FREESTYLE shows as they used to.

sad....very sad. 🙁
