What gets me is all the rambling about TKA. Their new Cd is for another club...Not this one. Last time I checked this was a Freestyle club. TKA's latest CD is Some sappy wannabee crossover to R & B / Jump rope / Hopscotch Pshycological warfare music. Everyone is all excited about them because of what they use to be. It's crazy how Freestyle artist tend to shy away from Freestyle not realizing it's all they're good at. Keep it real people...Keep it real to the Style. TKA fell off hard with Forever. Sad. Not one Freestyle track on their Cd. NOT ONE.

I agree with ya. I think many others feel the same, just afraid to say so!! lol.......They think it's bashing....maybe it is, but honesty is best. Just because it's TKA, doesn't mean it is necessarily the sh**. Again though, most get condemned for saying just that which isn't right since we all have the right to opinions. On the other side of this though, this has been brought up before and too many people fight about it!! That's why nobody likes to reply to this "type" of post. Well, enough said!! lol 😛

😀

i replied soooooo many times...its like i am talking to deaf ears!!!!

i feel you TONI....basically freestyle is just another form of dance music...if you check billboard, you will never find a segment that says freestyle all you find is ratings on dance music and it should've always remained that way from the start..

WHO CAME UP WITH THE WORD "FREESTYLE ANYWAY"??
some of these artists don't even like that category and then some of the ones that came out on MIC MAC couldn't even sing.

ACCEPT THE FACT THAT THE WORLD IS CHANGING ALONG WITH TECHNOLOGY and so is music. I DON'T HEAR PEOPLE CONDEMNING RAP ARTIST FOR CHANGING THE STYLE OF RAP OVER THE YEARS.

Dammit man....Im trying to be nice, but people are just pissing me off!!!...lmao...Cant we all just be nice? Like I always say...Be happy TKA is BACK, and if you dont like what they are giving you, then too bad, nobody says you have to like everything the radio plays, or the store sells, but it would be nice to at least give them some props man, whether its Freestyle or not, it sounds good to me...lol...And I think I read a Interview with TKA last week...Didnt Tony say that "Feel the music" wasnt there Idea???...Im not sure, but as I recall, he said that...So if you dont like that one song, fine, but give them a chance, and listen to there other songs....

I FEEL YOU CRYSTAL..SOME PEOPLE JUST LIKE TO START CONTROVERSY..THEY HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO. I WILL SEE YOU IN MANHATTEN ON THE 6TH.

sorry nina...you arent feeling me, LMAO i am on the total other end of that!!!!

and what artists on micmac couldnt sing???? dont condem one of the best freestyle record labels ever!!!!

whats good for rap is good for rap, this is freestyle, not rap...rap has also gotten popular by reusing old beats, should freestyle do it to????

and NOOOOOOOOO we must seperate dance music from freestyle because would u consider nsync in ur genre??? NOOOO you need a way to classify it...please people stop USING THAT argument saying its all dance music...it really degrades everything freestyle people have been doing to bring back the style!!!!!

as for the tka thing i have said my peace a million times and i wont say it again...i feel they should have stayed with freestyle, and i am betrayed they didnt...thats how i feel as a freestyle fan!!!!!

lets see if this goes on deaf ears now

so ant and rob i am feelin you guys!!!! lol

*sigh*

🙄

But I admit, I don't like the "feel the music" single..(sounds a little like the MODJO beat 'lady') But what da heck, tell me one artist today that hasn't changed the sound of their songs....times are a changin'...and to makes the cheddar u gotta make some moves.

peaceouttie,

daBig/\/\..
'keepin' it on da riz-eals'

The sound of freestyle never evolved and this is why it died out in the earliy 90's. All of a sudden the late 80's and early 90's freestyle in the mid 90's failed to capture the mainstream crowd because of it's retiring loops and sounds. Like I said once before, I think it's time we'd start calling something else freestyle. Let's not embrace the past to the fullest but rather, lets take it in as influence to the new music that's waiting to be made.

OK Now

For starters, TKA's album may not be all Freestyle, but it has 2 songs that are. Don't you think artists have to eat, or do you think we shit money and we figure alright lets make a Merengue album, for the hell of it. Is not like that, the mayority of the artists have change music style because 1 the money, and 2 start a different career. They want to be known not only that they can sing Freestyle, but sing many other styles as well. George Lamond did it and how is he now??? Nobody is bashing him! Marc Anthony Did it, India, Safire, Crissy I-eece, Nayobe, Nelson FFWD, Luis Damon, and a whole mess of others even in the west coast look at Frankie Boy who he sings with and what style is it??? He sings with Aby Quintanilla, Selena's brother and singing cumbia for the Kumbia Kings. Is all about being and doing what you love, and that is Music.

Juan Gabriel a Mexican singer who sang love songs and Rancheras all his life and is consideer one of the best artists, writer and producer of all time, Cristian Castro a Pop Artist, Ricky Martin a pop artists, these 3 did something different and I heard it yesterday, Juan and Cristian did 2 of their songs in Merengue, and Ricky did the song he did with Cristina Aguilera in Salsa. Now thats not selling out, and is not making them any lesser because they change their style, no way! They are doing it to get more peeps involve with their music and get a bigger crowd when they perform, yeah in a way they are sell out but like Metallica said "Sell out all the sits in the stadium and every show they do!"

As for Nina, babe sorry, but Mic Mac was the best record labe out there, and if wasn't for them alot of the artists would have never came to be nor listen to on the radio. Who did Judy Torres work with??? Elvin Molina (Mic Mac) & Tony Garcia....Tony is Mic Mac's own Mickey Garcia's Brother. Who else came out of there??? Well how about Cynthia, Body & Style, Exo, Soave, Solid, Johnny O., Clear touch, Nyasia, and the list goes on and on....Like someone said above do not blame all for one. Thats the reason freestyle fell we all got blame for some.

And I agree to who ever said "Who came up with Freestyle Music"? Cause they should've kept it either Latin Hip-Hop or Club Music, around my town you say your a freestyle artist and they will say "What you rap"?? and I will have to explain....But if you say the name above especially Club Music for get it they will go crazy....So lets not bash but enjoy what others have and if you don't like hey tough luck for us, we all try to please our fans, but 10 out of thousands ain't going to buy it is not bad at all...
God Bless 🙄 😀

I agree that atrists have EVERY right to choose another genre of music to explore, whether out of neccesity or plain old preference. The ONLY thing that gets me is when poeple AUTOMATICALLY call a song great cause their favorite, or one of their favorite, artist sings it. Many freestyle artists have crossed over into another genre. Great for them, and I wish them the best cause I love them all. However, if it is a song or in a genre I don't particurly like, I'm not gonna automatically sweat it. I'm sure alot of people really do like the new TKA album, for example. That is fine. However, if someone else doesn't, don't attack that person. That's not cool. Not everyone thinks or feels the same. I think Rob From Brooklyn (WHO I DONT EVEN KNOW) was trying to simply say what I just did. I do disagree with him on how he said that freestyle artists should stay with freestyle; that's just not plausible in every situation. 🙂

alex for whatever reasons they choose to do it, they still left freestyle... and u speak about george lamond, he didnt do to freestyle what that group has done!!!!!

first they break up, and send freestyle to its grave...then its lead singer goes to the newspaper and publicly trashes MY MUSIC!!!! then does his thing....few years later decides to join up with them again...comes on freestyle nation still talking cheese about freestyle, some time passes comes up in clubfreestyle STILL talking cheese on freestyle and its people...well to me that is disrespect and doesent deserve a true freestyle fans support and u can say whatever u want about keeping it in the past...but to me feelings that have streched on and on for this man will not be dead...he still feels the same way about freestyle and its fans!!!!

george lamond on the other had did a salsa album...continued to do freestyle came out with another freestyle album...and now performs both...keepin it real with both styles. SO PLEASE STOP TRYING TO MAKE GEORGE LOOK BAD TO SUPPORT AN ARTIST THAT HAS TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT FOR FREESTYLE!!!!!

i mean u need to feed ur family, go right ahead, there is nothing wrong with that...but do it in a manor of respect!!!!

True Toni......By the way, are you referring to when Kayel called freestyle "bubble gum" music?? That was a beautiful thing to say......guess it isn't bubble gum music anymore since they're back!!! Lol 🙄

exactly!!!!!

finally someone who knows something...i think people think i am crazy when i say that!!!!

see what i am saying!!!! and now he is running back!!!! he still feels the same way...he came in here and practically said the same sh*t!!!!
