I can't believe what i'm hearing.... JohnnyO IS freestyle, he is, in my opinion the greatest male freestyle artist of all time.... to disrespect him and say he shouldn't do a remake, is like telling Michael Jordan he shouldn't have returned to the league the FIRST time.... if you're the greatest, and you make the greatest freestyle cuts, then theres nothing anyone can say to you....
we don't try to tell doctors or trained professionals in any other occupation how to do their job.... because we know they are the best at it, same goes for JohnnyO....
and as for ZYX prod., those Germans knew an opportunity when they saw it, by signing JohnnyO, if they're that smart to scoop him up, then trust that they're going to take care of him....

Ok, since I missed the "drama" I'm just going to ignore and not even comment on anything.

All I have to say is I am so excited about the upcoming Johnny O release, whether its a remake or a new song. I love Johnny and right now, I'm happy about the release because it will keep me happy till the actual album is out. Granted, it will make me more impatient for the album, but it will give my fix that I need.

Toni - So far, 2002 is just like the last few years in Freestyle - disappointing...If you waste your money on this single then you will be giving artists and labels more reason to pass-off something old as something new in the future.

MIDNIGHTeternal - No one here is disrespecting Johnny O. - What I am doing is speaking my mind. If you look at it from my perspective - Johnny O. and ZYX are disrespecting the fans. Why would I a want yet another remake of "DIANA" or "FANTASY GIRL"...Collage already remade "DIANA" twice (once for the single release and again with Lil' Suzy as "SUZANNA") and neither were as good as the original album version. How many remixes and remakes of "FANTASY GIRL" does ZYX have to release for Johnny O. It seems that have a new every year. Again none of these version were as good as the original on Micmac.

If people in here do not know how to express their true feelings, I feel very sorry for you. It seems that whenever someone release something that you know in your heart is either not right or could just be a lot better, no one ever speaks up. Instead it seems that everyone sugarcoats everything and brownnoses the artists in question. Usually, I have to get the ball rolling before anyone else steps up to the plate and speaks from the heart.

ZYX - is a good dance label, but they should concentrate on releasing NEW material instead of recycled goods.
 
I agree myself. Bring on the new original material or forever be destined to live in the past which is not helping IMO the established or less established artists in the marketplace today. I am waiting for the album now in June to see what new songs are available.

I just read the Lil Suzy thread and another remake of old song and group on ZYX. I don't get and I don't know either.

I have all 7 of his CD's including, Johnny O(featuring fantasy girl), Like a Stranger, Johnny O(The Remixes), Johnny O's Greatest Hits, Johnny O(Call it watcha Like), Johnny O(MegaMix), and The Best of Johnny O. How many supporters can saw they have all of his CD's except singles offcourse.
 
Why would you want all 7 CDs???

If you already own the 3 albums that Micmac released and the one he recorded on Ex-It then you have all of the material contained on the other 3 CDs...

The Mega-Mix is actually a single and it can be found on ZYX FREESTYLE, VOL. 1...

yeah I know, but maybe because I want to support my fav artist and have all of his CD's for my own collection.
 
I see your point, but that is exactly what these labels want you to do...Spend your hard earned money on something you already have because they put it into a shiny new package.
 
yeah I agree. Like his greatest hits is totaly a waste of money. MegaMix, I didn't even know it was two tracks with mixes of his songs. The bad thing is when your for example have 5 or 6 of them, I cannot help it even though I know it's not worth it. I think his two rare Cd's are "Call it watcha Like" and "Best of Johnny O".

Mine would have to be between "call it watcha like"(Awsome CD) and Johnny "O", The Remixes. I love some of the remixes and it includes "I wanna Make Love with You".
 
so? the one you don't have is his greatest hits, right? I heard that he didn't know that he had a CD but didn't know which one till now. Anyways, it's not a big or good CD anyways. which one is your fav CD?
 
Mine are his first album, and the remix album. I plan on getting his one when it's out.
