I am the producer of Nick Colon (careless)..a lil recent story..Club Rio (bayridge) 2 weeks ago...about 1:30 am, Nick performed "Careless" before a crowd of say mmmmm.. 250-300 who were dancin to meren/salsa and reggea & hip hop all nite...and then up comes Nick....peforming "careless"....A NEW freestye song....and what?..the CROWD LOVED him...dancin to the music and givin him a HELLA round of applause..very accepting and receiving of the new sound.......TKA followed about 20 min later and the crowd loved them also......Freestyle's not Dead...not at all....will it be as popular as pop/hip hop?.naaaaaa..but it's there for us to love,...and no....OLD school sound will never come back( as far as new production)....it's just tooo slow, we have a nice share of old school style songs on the new Nick Colon CD --"Believe"-- but 80% of what will be put out in the future from most producers will be fast and leaning towards the trance/dance style of music....that's the only way-IF possible to get a freestyle artist and His/Her song major radio recognition.......but we (artists/producers) know why we do it...for u...the fans of freestyle......and also...a great big shout out to all the promoters who are still puttin freestyle acts on stage....MUCH LOVE!!!!!!!!!!...BLISS MAY 26TH,....SEE U THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s..... a remake is always nice to hear every now and again =) it's a form of flattery...not a scheme or ploy or lack of creativeness....

That's the key right there: EVERY NOW AND AGAIN...

It becomes a lack of creativeness when almost every release the same artists and producers happens to be a remake...
