OK I HAD TO POP IN THIS THREAD AGAIN LOL BUDMAN VERY WELL SAID. I LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS TKA IS DOING WHAT SO MANY ARTIST HAVE DONE IN THE PAST FROM SELEA, MARC ANTHONY AND YES GEORGE LAMOND WHY GEORGE ALWAYS GETS MENTIONED IS BECAUSE HE IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE THE MAN IS GREAT EVERY SONG HE EVER PUT OUT WAS HOT HE CROSSED OVER TO SALSA AND IS DOING GREAT IN THAT MOVE AND YES WHENEVER HE PERFORMS HE ALWAYS DOES HIS FREESTYLE. I HAVE SEEN TKA PERFORM SO MANY TIMES AND I TRY AND MAKE IT TO EVERY SHOW POSSIBLE WHAT CAN I SAY I LOVE THEM THEY PUT ON A GREAT SHOW AND WHEN THEY PERFORM THEY DO BOTH THERE CLASSIC FREESTYLE HITS AS WELL AS THERE NEW STUFF TO. TO ME IT SEEMS AS THOUGH BEING THAT TKA ARE THESE FREESTYLE LEGEDS EVERYONE JUST MADE THE ASSUMPTION FREESTYLE WAS WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO PUT OUT AND WITH THAT EXPECTATION MANY SEEM TO BE DISSAPPOINTED. I LOVE THE CD NOT JUST BECAUSE ITS TKA BUT BECAUSE I LIKE THE SOUND I LIKE THE LYRICS I LIKE THE VOCALS I LIKE HOW THEY CAME TOGETHER AND LAYED IT DOWN ON THIS ALBUM. I DONT IN ANY WAY FEEL THEY HAVE ABANDONED FREESTYLE IF THAT WERE THE CASE THEY WOULDNT SING ANY OF THERE CLASSICS BUT THEY DO AND AS MUCH ASS THOSE SONGS GET THE CROWD GOING THE NEW ONES DO JUST AS MUCH. ONCE AGAIN GUYS MUCH SUCCESS 🙂

I mean, seriously, everything you had said is TRUE, point blank. You guys went from Freestyle, to TKA music, as other Freestyle artists went to salsa, but do u see people complaing about Geore doing that? Not really, and im not complaining either. Its still music, brong it on baby... And Tybless, you are always there for TKA, backing them up, giving the haters and lovers the real deal, always speaking your mind, and I admire you for that! Honestly, I read the first post that K7 did on this thread, and Its been on my mind all day. Bro your 100% right and I support you. I just copped the album like 30 minutes ago and its good. SOme of these fanatical freestylers need to chill out and get with the times. I've been wanting a return from you as well as many other freestylers since freestyle died in 91 or whatever, but as time passed you just realize its not going to be the same. Its 2001 and its time for a new sond to freestyle just like when Lissette Melendez came out with the "Together Forever" sound back in the day. I for one am all for an evolution in freestyle.

As, for the other songs on the CD, they are really good. Its the music of today. Although a little hip hop track would have been nice as well, I'm feelin the Cd cause the music is good. Also in the future when the singles are released in the stores, a little freestyle version of the song would do just fine. Even a phat club version, kind of like most of Cynthia's recent singles.

But anyway, I have to say I dont understand some of the freestyle fans on this site I really don't. Fanatic isn't even the word. Maybe cause I'm 21, and I'm still kind of young, but I grew up on freestyle and I love it to death. But, theres also hip hop, club, pop. I'm saying! this isn't the 80's. WHy are people hatin on ya'll because you don't have that many freestyle songs. Its gets me so mad but whatever cause its not even worth it. There is much more I want to say but I dont have the time right now. Much props to TKA. Good Luck, Mad Love, and good job on the album.

sure he crossed over, but he STILL PLAYS FREESTYLE IN CLUBS, he gave us a freestyle album, and he is still true to the freestyle fans...mostly every show he does he is willing to do freestyle songs for the fans that want it!!!!! even when its at a salsa proformance!!!!!

he never went anywhere saying, well u know without u and where does that leave love isnt really freestyle...you guys just took it as a freestyle song...NEVER EVER EVER WOULD he down play it...he has never denied himself as a freestyle artist...its the way he carries himself in both genres...not needing to downplay either of them to anybody!!!! i feel he has stayed true to his fans...and thats it...so once again i have no clue why u people bring him into it!!!! dont look for excuses to defend something else...when u are speaking about two diffrent things...apples and oranges

The way I see it is this.

I LOVE the 86-92 TKA. So many memories. Great music, Hot guys. They sang in a way that melted your heart. And they even had slow jams (I used to love Someone in the dark).

But guess what? I also loved K-7. It was a new sound, and it was GOOD. It was different, it got you to move & shake your ass to his music AND that CD is very good to freak to! 😀 Every freestyle fan from around my way loved K-7. There were no haters.

And for me its like this, forever has a new sound & yes, some of the songs are not "great" in my opinion. But I am a TKA fan for the artists, not for freestyle. Honestly, had every song on that CD sounded like "come get my love" I may not have even bought it. Its an old sound. Yes, I love old school freestyle but I can't listen to it 24/7. I love when TKA performs & sings freestyle, it brings back memories but in the same respect, nobody can live in the past.

I will continue to support TKA as a group, in whatever they do. Of course, if they bust out some Willie Nelson Sh*t that might be one CD I'll never buy 😉 but as long as they can make me dance, I'm still a fan.

Don't hate the artist for what the industry did to them.

I'm sorry Toni, but you and I know that what was just posted is not true. As long as weve argued about this really dumb issue I know what's up. You might be able to fool the people that werent around to witness these posts who are going to defend you because of your right to opinionate which I totally agree but what you just quoted is not true. This makes me think things about you. I think you wanna start a controversy with some hot air in our face. You are taking part in hurting the group s career by your words even though they arent hurtful as they used to be. As far as twisting things, no one is. They are facts. There is no difference.

yo who the hell added the word freestyle to dance music. When lisa lisa and george started they where on major labels and i know for a fact they did'nt call it freestyle. tka blow up a little independent called tommy boy.before them was bam and the soul sonic force.

so who ya think made all the money off of all the planet rock remakes. yo you freestylers live in denile.

new music is the only way to go.

sorry but i dont want to start controversy...i wished them the best of luck and got thier cd and am letting lots of people know about it...them getting on billboard and getting airplay can only further freestyle, i see that now...something i didnt see a couple of months ago...so i will give u that, thats where i have changed my mind....

as for the comparison to george lamond and tka...i have posted this a million times and i WONT DO IT AGAIN...you take your facts as u want them....i take mine as i want them...i dont care...we have argued it to many damn times...its not even worth it!!!! it is doing nothing...i just feel lamond stayed a friend to both genres, some people didnt...and thats it!!!!!!! u cant deny that...you can say whatever u want...hey i have no hint of why it was like that...but it was...well now i am embracing them again and here i have to sit and argue stupid crap...anyway i am through!!!!!

Well, I haven't had the chance to hear anything yet, except for "You Don't Feel It" that I heard about a year ago. The other was "When Will I See You Again" that I got a copy around at the same time.

Here I Am thinking about other artist, and groups that have grown into another sound.

Acts that I LOVE, in both of there SOUNDS, like Cypress Hill there doing Rap & Rock / Everlast with his singing sound or Rap sound.



Like Everlast said on his last album "You Thought I Stoped rappin' Cuzz I said Singing"

Well, I'm hopin' that I See same with TKA.


This is NO WAY means that there next album won't be FREESTYLE!!!

K7, you're music was good back in the days--but don't criticize those of us who have an undieing love for freestyle just because your heart isn't in it anymore. If other artists still want to put freestyle out--why not? Why does everyone have to dis it? Just because you stopped doing new freestyle doesn't mean that freestyle should be dead because of you guys. I don't know exactly what you're trying to say but to me that's what is sounds like. Freestyle should be freestyle, it shouldn't change. That's what made it freestyle. Just because times are changing doesn't mean freestyle has to change completely. It doesn't have to be 80's freestyle to be freestyle! I mean the beats could be totaly different-who cares, but the style should be freestyle.

P.S. You should have done at least one new freestyle song and not "When Will I See You Again" . Something new that no one knew about, something to shock everybody, but you didn't--sad.

a freestyle master? ohhhhh ahhhhhh we sould all step back and listen to your wisdom in awe becuase we dont know what freestyle should be or sound like?..... just off of "FOREVER"..BETTER THEN THE REST...WHEN WILL I C U ...SEXUAL FANTASY...these are not freestyle? brother they have 12 step programs out there for whatever youre smoking....but becuase you are a self proclaimed "freestylemaster" youre going to lecture tka or specifically Kay .. on how it should be?(THAT IS INDEED SAD.)..hey i play some ball..but i cant tell michael jordan shit....I teach martial arts but i woulnt be able to tell bruce lee shit.....and i paint but im far from picasso....TKA is and has always been in the forefront of the freestlye genre ..THEY ARE REAL FREESTYLE MASTERS..in achivement not in words!!! its a new type of freestyle out there now..becuase it does not sound like the freestyle of the 80S..does not mean its not freestyle..alot of people like you dont realize that any new freestyle coming out will not sound like the same as hits that came out then..just like RUN DMC and DOUGIE FRESH will not sound the same as DMX or JAY Z.. there both in the same catagory (RAP)..they have the same roots... its just that the music has evolved into a new sound...just like i said to rhog on another similar post.unless you can create music..put out your ideas or your album..and be successful in making what you feel freestyle should be..then youre just talking alot of nothing!!!
