Radio Personality : WCEV 1450 AM Chicago
Hey, K...welcome to the site!
I have always and will continue to support not only the Freestyle Movement, but the personalities that shaped the industry as well. As a radio personality, I have met dozens of artists. In many cases, those artists and I have become personal friends. I will always support those who want to progress and explore new endeavors. For that reason, when George Lamond, Luis Damon, etc. ventured into the Latin music market, I did the same. My show became Freestyle and Latin Rhythm. When K7 became a little more than "just a freestyle group", I went with the flow, interviewing Kayel and programming K7 music even if it wasn't blatantly Freestyle. I even interviewed Angel "Love" and spoke of his "Good Fellas" project and played "A Clan" music. All because of the people involved.
The personalities are what matters. I can show you playlists of me playing Shana Petrone's country tracks. Why? Because I met her as a 17 year old Visions recording artist who hit with "I Want You". She and her family were great to me. Should I abandon the friendship because she went country?
Brenda K. Starr because she went Salsa?
Nelson Cruz because he did House?
Johnny O because he became a minister?
Clubfreestyle members because sometimes they log on to other sites?
I think you get my point.
Kayel, Tony, Angel, Tybless and the rest will always get my support...now when are the Heavy Metal remixes coming out? I can't wait to play them on my next radio broadcast.
...Micheal Jordan because he's now a Wizard?
Enough, already!
