Do you think Freestyle Artists should get pist when fans come up to them to take a picture or ask for an autograph? I mean I have been to many Freestyle shows and I have seen a few well known female Freestyle singers get upset when fans come up to them for autographs or to take photos. I mean come on these are the people who are buying thier music and love them to pay to go to a club to support them and even travel a few states. I mean lookt at Nyasia, Ashley and Angel from the cover girls they always chill with the fans, take pictures. I as a performer respect them for this and it also sets an example for me as well. The other night I was at Destination to see Nyasia and Sam Savon and Sebastian and Sam Savon found out I was in the club and came up to me to say hi, you know that's an example for me to follow. What do you guys think and have you been a victim of this behavior?

No they shouldnt get pissed if the fans are coming out to show support thats just a little way for them to say thank you I know this past weekend Sam and Sebastian were looking forward to meeting there fans members of this site and were beyond sweet when everyone wanted to take pics. Naya is always down for pics and so are the artist you mentioned Ashley, Nick Safire etc etc 🙂

Vic that's a good question. SOmetimes the artist is having a bad night, which is not to say they should shun the public that has made them who they are. To me the fans are special more so than anyone out there, because as you said they come out and support travel to whereever to see thier favorite artists, the least they can do is give them a few minutes of thier time.

BTW, hope your feeling better.😉

Awwww thanks girl. But you are right Nyasia, one day we had 3 shows, did the PR parade, club Blis and then a festival in Passaic and my head was about to explode and yet I had tot take out the time ti sign autographs and smile and talk to people it's not easy but at least you make someone feel good! That same day when we went to BLIS we did'nt see some people and did'nt say hi and they took it the wrong way. We apoligized because in reality we were'nt feeling well but that's life. I agree with Angel as well I really don't care if someone shun's me cause people have thier problems but it troubles me to see it happen to a fan or a supporter, they get disillusioned!

I dont think any celebrity should shun their fans!! Look, I know it must be annoying at times to have people following you around, but the bottom line is that a lot of them wouldnt be where they were if it werent for their fans, whether it be a freestyle singer, a movie star, a soap opera actor, or anyone else!!! Fans are the ones that go to see their movies, buy their albums, or watch their shows. So even if the person is in a bad mood, they should really try to be nice to these fans that support them so much. I have met some celebs, mainly soap stars...some were very nice and a few werent. And u know what? I lost my respect for those that acted too high and mighty to sign an autograph. As for freestyle artists, Ive met George LaMond and Cynthia and they were both 2 of the sweetest people Ive ever met!! But because freestyle needs the support of its fans, the artists should do the same in return!

Damn Victor, I didn't know artist were like that!! I guess I'm from the old skool, you know. Appreciate everyone you meet and treat everybody the same way you would like to be treated!!! Lets face it, chances are they will be the same people you bump into on your loonnngg way down! LOL

I don't think anyone is exempt from being polite!! I just can't stand attitude!! I think it makes you very ugly inside and out!!!

Anyway, keep your head up papi!!

Peace

always treat the fans with respect, I say. They are the ones that support your music. The least you can do is take a pic with them or sign an autograph to show your appreciation.

I have yet to run into one artist that said "NO" to me or any of my friends. (except FLAVOR FLAV) but he dont count!

Just about every artist has been nice when I asked them for a pic or autograph...EXCEPT FOR ONE LITTLE SNOB.... hint: First initial L and last initial M....everyone I speak to seemed to have had the same experience as I...too bad cause I do love her songs 🙁

There's a right time and a wrong time. I see it like this: Artist are also people. And as grateful as I am for many things, I sometimes like my space. If I see that an Artist is in conversation with someone, I'm not going to bother him/her at that time. Later on in the evening maybe, when they aren't so deep into convo. Yeah we support the music they make, but you have to think about it before you step up to them.

Like the Night I met Nyasia and her Body Guard Sexy Secrete Ninja Angel. Countless times in the past I said that one day I will meet her and probably not know what to say. But you know what? It wasn't all like that when I did. It all boils down to respecting the individuals personal space.

Dont get me wrong, The next time I see the both of them, I will ask for the Sigs, but at the right moment.

HEE HEE I LIKE THAT REBER "NAYASIA AND HER BODY GUARD SEXY SECRETE NINJA ANGEL. THATS CUTE. LOL.

Wow Anthony

Wow Anthony, I guess you were a victim to that person too!!! I can spot attitude a mile away 😉

"with great power comes GREAT responsibility".... something like that.
LOL

seriously.. it's great when an artist takes the time to say hi.
it works both ways too.... as a fan we like the recognition...BUT we as fans must respect the artist & understand if they're not in the mood after a long day or performance...

Thank you Philly. it does go both ways, just because we are an artist and we should appreciate a fan doesn't mean that a "fan" has to take advantage of us either. An artist will always be somebody no matter what, because they are human. but they will always have fans, no matter what the attitude is. Look at Howard Stern, the guy is a phucking pig but he stilhas fans, just cause I don't like him doesn't mean he doesn't have a following. So in closing I say that yes an artist does have an obligation to the fans , but the fans also have to remember that they are regular people that need a little time to breathe before signing autographs after a show.
