Hey guys, how come no one knows anything about the new tracks elissa has been providing us with. Common Elissa, when will these songs be available, is there a new freestyle compilation being put together. I t doesn't make sense that FREIDA, LIL SUZY AND KATHY PHILIPS are getting so many requests and airplay yet they are not available to the public to buy. Are people expecting the fans to get sick of the songs and then run out and buy the cd. Elissa please shed some light on the subject. Maybe Tony monaco knows? Whatever happened to FREESTYLE FRENZY 5? Or was that just a rumour?
 
well i asked tony if he was putting out a frenzy comp but he no longer does them and he wasn't too clear if the people that do will be putting one out so it sounds like it was a rumor but i'm not sure.
 
ok here's another rumor, a cd will be released some time in october/november with all the songs you just asked for, don't ask for names,what else is on it or anything else cause i don't really know

Freestyle Frenzyvol 5 is due out on September 18th so we all will just have to be patient and wait for its release.

There should be a lot of new traxx on the CD

I just got a preview of one of the songs of the CD from one of the great artists that live here in T.O. and I must tell you this track is amazing.

So will it be called freestyle frenzy volume 5 or will it be something else? When will it be out? sept 18 or in october / november? Are you sure about this? Didn't Elissa once post that promise to stay would be out on sept 2nd. So what's the real deal guys?
 
according to Tony monaco there will be a CD released in october/november with all the songs that you listed above. If a frenzy CD comes out before that i don't know but the one from Monaco isn't the freestyle Frenzy 5 cd.
 
I went to HMV @ Yorkdale yesterday and asked for the Freestyle Frenzy Vol. 5 and they told me the release date was pushed back to September 18th.....

As for the New song on F F 5...im sorry but i am sworn to secrecy
all I can tell you is the artist is from Toronto and she isn't a new
artist.

I really hope they put the new Freda-Promise to Stay on FF5.
That would be a HUGE leading factor for me to purchase the cd..not sure what everyone elses take on it is.
 
That's the main reason why I wanna know what's going on with the cd. I love PROMISE TO STAY.
 
I heard that they will put on promise to stay by freida and I wish by Kathy phillips..both great tunes from fellow greek freestylers!

To answer everyones question...here i go..

1st off.. even though it's a good track...I have nothing to do with the Kathy Phillips song... so you may have to contact Odeon Records for a release date..

I can promise you that " Promise To Stay" will be released...I just compiled two freestyle comps..one for popular records and one for spg music...the old freestyle frenzy title belongs to popular records and tony no longer uses that...all of his cd's are "Freestyle Heaven's"...now, unfortunately we don't have an exact release date or title for either cd...but I do know that they are coming out because I did production work for both.

It's hard sometimes to have songs in the stores when the resources for label releases are low.. you just have to be patient..
I know it's fustrating...but it's also fustrating for the artists too.
This is something I can't control..but I can work to improve.

I hope that helps for now...
I promise to keep you fully updated as soon as I find out about the comp's and when they will be officially released.

new Elissa and Frenzy stuff

Elissa,

On what cd will your eurodance radio hit "summer of love" appear on? What's the point of hearing it over and over if I can't get it in the store? Also, I could not find your full lenght cd at any HMV in Calgary or Edmonton, very dissapointing!

On another note, I love the freestyle Frenzy vol.4 cd because it was the only one in the series that was full lenght, non mixed. I hope you will give some advice to Monaco and others and stop imposing mixed tracks on their releases.

Keep up the great work Elissa, you are awesome and slowly, all of Canada outdside of Toronto is showing you their appreciation both in recognition and on the airwaves, we love your music!

Right now The Summer of Love is only available on a mix euro cd titled..."the summer of love" dance hits 2001.
Only the local HMV stores in Toronto have that compilation because it was released independantly through ti amo records.
The good news is you can order it online at

I gave up on the Elissa track "summer of love", I settled for the less upbeat original spanish import "playa del sol" which HMV had 6 copies of at $13 CAD! It is not as good as Elissa's version but at least I got it! Please tell these indie labels to not bother sending the single to clubs and radio in Western Canada if you can't get the song in the stores! I mean I go to the store and ask for Elissa "summer of love" and they tell me they don't have it but they do have the same song in spanish with some english as an import single. Import my foot and the summer is over! This is not the first time it happens with an Elissa hit track as it took forever to get "Bailando" on the shelves long after it was a major hit on the radio and in the clubs. How long will Elissa's fans stay loyal to her great voice and product outside of Toronto? Let's start by getting the product on the shelves when there is reasonable demand for it.

Now for Popular Records, I am grateful that all their cd singles and albums are on the shelves in Alberta. Can't wait for the release! Elissa's cd single "Bailando" was also a Popular Records distributed product, it made onto the shelves so did every copy of the ffrenzy cd series, now that's more like it.
