I just listened to your show in 88.7 and it was off the hook.. There's one problem though it needs to be longer =), but its still kicks butt... Keep it up and I can not wait to check it out next friday at 6.00 A.M..

Yes.....i agree the show needs to be longer, it went by fast.... though I started late, 7:30.

Is your show on Saturday afternoon, Freestyle? If not there should be one like there was some years back.
 
Paresh...it got a little late and I wasn't able to check the computer for last minute requests, the phones were ringing and I was preparing for the 9am shift. Trust that next Friday I'll honor your request for Chip E and FFWD. Remember, after my 8:45 newscast, it's hard for me to go back and forth from the studio to the newsroom (where the computer is).

I invite you, Freestyle Kitty, RoGeReM, and others to review my show at this website. Not only can I use the critique and feedback, but it might turn others on to what is happening here in Chicago. Requests during the week are cool too because I can prepare my CD book ahead of time. So Phanatix, hit me here or at the Hotmail address at the bottom of the screen.

I'll review my show a little later for the rest of you. As for now, the real world awaits me!

Hey, all...

Saturday's show is actually a "kids" show which features members of the Union League Boys and Girls Club where I am a "real life" Program Director, but don't let that phase you. Because of the afternoon slot, sometimes I can only do live interviews on the kids time, so I let the kids in on live interviews. Me and the kids have conducted live interviews with Angel Clivilles, Lil Suzy, Mandy Moore and Angela Via on their show. So though it isn't a freestyle show, sometimes I use the time to interview dance music artists. So, you never know... Once upon a time I used to do Saturday and Sunday afternoon shows on 90.5 FM here in Chicago...those were the times.

Thanks again for listening and giving me the all important feedback. I guess I'm doing okay...someday soon, I'm going to pitch this program at the bosses of 92.7/5...whatcha think? I could use all of the support that I can get. Or maybe they'll just "borrow" my idea and I'll never make it "big"😕 .

Harv, I think you should go for it, 92.7/5 that is. They play great dance music but they need some freestyle programmed in there as well. I did hear Stevie B's "I wanna be the one" yesterday when I left work. I wish they would play something off of his current CD however. Oh well.
 
Speaking of 92.75 I called a while back and talked to Luis 2live Lopez. We were talking about freestyle and he was saying he used to work at 88.something or other. We were reminiscing about the Riv. and other clubs that would hold the FS concerts. We talked about Rockell and her new song. I told him about Harv's show and he was like Oh yeah Harv!! He even went back and played a song for us "freestylers out there". Last night I was listening and he played Lizette Melendez- Together forever. Sooooo maybe he'll be playing Freestyle a little more frequently then any other DJ on that station. And Harv I say go for it at 92.75! If you keep at it some day you will make it big. Wipe the sad face. We are LOVIN IT!!! 🙂

I will try doing a review on your Radio show soon, i cant say Ive ever done a review but Ill try my best, Ill use yours about Freestyle y2k1 as an example.

I will call the thread " Review on Harv Roman's morning chicago freestyle show" Ill try doing this on the weekend, Im sure everyone will post what they think thereafter.

Hey Harv......

Harv, I just wanted to say thank you so very much for playing the song for my girly. She was so happy. I called her to see if she was listening and she just said "I hear it! I gotta go!!" and hung up on me! HAHAHA. She recorded it too! Cori has been playing it all weekend. You'd think I'd be sick of hearing you. NAH!! HAHAHA I'm just messin with you. You made not only her day but her whole weekend. Mija is telling EVERYONE!!
