Yep, you got it. Many people have confused the two groups. Their styles were boths similar as well as the lead vocals of Survivor's Jimi Jamison and Journey's Steve Perry were rather similar also.
 
I agree,..the styles of both Journey and Survivor are similiar. I love them both, but Im a huge Journey fan!

Yeah, Journey has some great music, though in my house growing up, I was the Survivor fan and my older sister was into journey. I think though the mid 80s was the best period for both groups, maybe primarily because the talent of their lead singers.
 
Oh daym! I should've known that, as I like Survivor much more than Journey. I love their song "I Can't Hold Back".

Not yet...But OMG, I was a little die hard Survivor fan. Both Jimi Jamison and Corey Hart has to have been two of my first crushes, along with Erik Estrada, the actor who played Luke Duke, and the cop from The Village People.

You would only like them if you were into late 70's to mid 80's pop rock.

As for not knowing Survivor, you probably do, and don't know it. Survivor sang "Eye Of The Tiger" and "Burning Heart" from the "Rocky" movies.
