What we're gonna do right here is go back, way back, back into time...

Who was the first freestyle artist you ever saw perform, where was it, what year was it and how old were you at the time?

Mine was Stevie B at Escapes in Merrick Long Island, it was 1988 and I was 16 years old.

mine was steive B on 9/7/03 at the lagoon niteclub outside of philly pa .

1991.....I was 14.....and the place was in Orchard Beach, in the Bronx...on the great lawn. And the event was a two-day concert, hosted by Hot 97 (of course) and the line-up for both days was sick. That was the first time I ever saw:

Crystal Waters
Sandee
Face
Gerardo
Rare Arts
Two Without Hats

..and many, manty others. I just can't think right now.

Plus, I used to go to all of the block parties for La Mega and the block parties at Side Street.....where I saw Lil' Suzy and Nyasia on the same stage.....I think that was in 1992 or 1993.

Keep in mind that I was still kinda young to be going to clubs like Emerald City, Palladium and the Red Zone.....

I went to the Meadowlands fair, and PLJ was hosting a concert at the fair, staring Sweet Sensation.

Let's see...I started clubbing in 1987, I cant remember the very first...but I remember seeing TKA, the Cover Girls and Trilogy at Illusions in New Rochelle.

LOL!!! I was there too. My Dads wife worked for CBS Records and got me tickets. I remember that night that I met TKA in the lobby during the show.

Mine was the Hot 97 Expo 91 in NYC Where i saw peform for the very first time Laizez faire, Giggles, Charm, Kym Syms, and lissette Melendez. I also got to meet Stephanie Miller the one time morning DJ on Hot 97. I was 16 then.
