The concert was great, he started out with Without you, then Where does that leave love, Look into my eyes and then 2 salsa song of his album, and then Bad of the Heart. My wife and I were right up front, my wife even got his autograph, the only one given out that night. GL is an excellent freestyle singer live. The audience at the club was huge, Im sure he was happy to see Chicago supports George Lamond.

i was not able to attend but my lady was there...she was right in front too...a kinda short latina going nuts, holding a cd with his pic in it and he even made mention of it during the show as to when it was taken and then went to the v.i.p. section with him afterwards...we got our autographs there!! did you see her??

he did rock the house...i was listening via cel-phone courtesy of my girl and it was off the hook! i had the pleasure of speaking with him on the phone right after he got offstage and he was still outta breath...i know he threw down and said he always loves returning to chicago...he also told me he is coming back real soon and that he would lemme know....ill keep you informed! george is the best...period!
 
I did see her there! She was holding out a cd with a pic in it, and yes He did mention when it was taken. My wife and I were very near her in front of the stage. Small world! Why werent you there?

originally george thought he was coming out on the 9th and thats what he told me, but he was mistaken...i changed my schedule around to open up that night then i found it was the 12th and could not get that night open so i had to settle for the cel-phone concert stream!

yes, very small world indeed...and so is my girl🙂

I notice recording artist/singer under your name, how do you know George Lamond personally? What songs do you sing? Do you have a record? Who are you to the freestyle world? It would have been nice to see another artist performing on stage after GL or before.
 
long story...

ive been in music for almost 13 years bro...in many ways, from manager to label partner to artist...in freestyle i was with pryme tyme records til last year...had one song on a comp. of theirs, albeit the wrong mix was put on there, and another one is not released yet cuz they are really not putting out freestyle now, but it is played on several stations around the country....harvs show for instance...you can find it there almost every week...."nobody's fool".

also...ive met up with george many times over his career, the first being back in 1991 thru my close friend and label mate (at the time) troy guy, frontman for the group D'ZYRE....they were friends cuz they did shows together...i have seen george many times here performing since and we always hook up after his shows..he is a class act, but you already know that.

as for me....i will be in the upcoming cf throwdown contest so you can check out my bio and song i did for that contest very soon...thanx for asking bout me bro, i appreciate that!
 
Yup, I like to hear that there are Freestyle artists still supporting the music here in Chicago. Thanks for the explanation. Thats cool you know GL and D'Zyre. Maybe we can meet for the next freestyle event, Ill buy the drinks....nice talking with you. Ill keep an ear out for your song on Harvs radio show.

What is your full name? I remember when Pryme Tyme first started. I was with a radio show in Chicago at the time. Then do you remember when Troy Guy was going to start his own label? He did his last song sung by himself? I was going to do the marketing for them on the label, but things fell through for them. Have you heard anything from Troy Guy?

just by your name...greg, i think i recognize you but im not sure. i was with pryme tyme from 99 til 2001 and as for troy...me and him are very close friends. went to high school together as well as with his brother. i see him often and talk every few days...my new song for this cf contest was recorded at his studio...we have continued to work together over all these years and have no plans on stopping if we have anything to do about that. yes, "inside your love" is the song you are referring to...i was the c.e.o. of his label B.O.S.S. RECORDS back then and things were looking good b 4 our financial backing pulled out. that song still might be released in the near future by himself or another label. pm me and ill give ya any other 411 you might need!!
