Sorry this should have been directed at Rhoq:

Sorry Buddy, I've liked freetstyle since age 12 and I'm 24 and I can hear freestyle anywhere. She may not be a freestyle artist, I'll give you that much but the most obvious is that you can't label Gwen as anything because she's got a unique style and ventures into different genres.

Track 8 definitely has freestyle written all over it. In that song you hear "Planet Rock" and "Look Out Weekend" and the classic beat is there, that being, the beat almost every freestyle song in the history of freestyle has.

Track 10 has a Sweet Sensation "Hooked on You"/Jody Watley/Madonna/ feel to it.

WHOA! freaky, didnt think gwen would be the next to jump on the semi-freestyle bandwagon of 2004. very kool to hear those 2 freestyle-like songs

well she definitely has a liking to freestyle. i've seen her in a few interviews talk about how she used to love lisa lisa and cult jam.

hey - i bought the gwen Cd because of this thread...it is reall good! those two songs are a good example of what new freestyle could sound like nowadays (the got some great sounding freestyle beats in them). i think that rich girl will be the next single but i hope crash or serious will be a spring/summer single. To me freestly always sound good driving around in the warm weather on my car stereo.

Gwen Stafani? Gwen Stafani?
"The Modanna Wanna Be of the new Mellinium" or is that Brittney Spears???

just kidding, Gwen baby!

You know I stopped watching MTV after they pulled 2nd Generation off the air...I guess this was when the Record companies chose between talent and no talent (they knew that Generation X won't know the difference & big money was at stake) and they also knew that songs with hate and not much talent behind it sells more than songs with love and great singing. The rest is history! THANK GOD!!!
But what I hear now seems to be the beggining of a new era (or a recycled one) bringing back what was successful about the 70's & 80's.

Mi dos cheles...(my 2 cents)

I like many things that involve Freestyle but its got to make me feel it...If it don't I don't care if it has...uh..um.. Freestyle elements? (WHat the hell does that mean???)(either it's Freestyle or it's not!)
(Most Freestyle lovers Favorite songs don't have a Planet Rock Beat in it)

Anyway,
I'll take a listening to those two tracks mentioned. She may restart the trend..
Who knows?
