I was actually being nice. You should hear some of the things I tell the "Jesus Freaks" that approach me on the streets and on public transportation (I made one of them run away, screaming about me being the devil). :lol

If you want to practice your religion, Great. I have no problem with that what-so-ever. If it helps to make you a better person, then I support you 100%. As soon as you force your beliefs upon me and others when through literature, preaching or other forms of progeganda - that's when we have a problem with one another. Respect me and I will respect you. You can start by keeping your beliefs to yourself.

As far as me "goin' to hell" as NVDisMa729 says - well I don't believe in hell (or heaven for that matter), so I'm not worried. 😉

I don't see why this topic would offend anyone.. It's not meant to.. It's just like all the other topics in here. Everybody has opinion about something. If you don't agree, then you don't.. I don't see anybody in here pushing religion on anyone. If you get offended by religious topics then like somebody said in another forum-- just overpass it and don't post. I understand that people got offended by some of the "gay" topics posted.. everybody got over it.. We don't agree w/ everything.. Thats what makes the world go round..
Sorry to go off.. but I just think its childish that people take things so personal in an open floor forum.. I would say May you have a Blessed Day.. but that just might offend some people in here.. So.. have a good one!

AWWWWW!!!! I love ya too Rhoq but just like religious discussions shouldn't be on here...then the same could be said of political discussions. Someone might think you or someone else is pushing their political beliefs on them. 😉

It's an open forum for many things to be discussed and if you feel that the subject is being pushed on you...kindly close the thread and move on.

I don't want to see this thread turn into one big ole fight which it could very well become if the comments keep going as they are.

Very nice Rhoq. That post looks like it was written by a man your age, unlike the other one. But i agree with jazzy4u. If u dont like the topic and whats being said simply dont read it.
 
Religion is a crazy thing...you have all these people saying "this is the way to God" and "follow this path" and I'm like shut up because I feel that one's relationship with God should be on a personal level, and there's nothing wrong with finding your own individual path...the way I see it is this: why prepare for something that may or may not happen during our lifetime, when in this day and age, we're not even guaranteed tomorrow? Or even the next hour? I live my life as if every day will be my last, because someday it will be...there's no sense in harping on what could have been when you might not even get the opportunity to know.

🙂 Whats funny is.. Jesus didn't preach religion. He didnt come up w/ join this congregation or that one.. Men always find a way to "mold" things into their own beliefs and you're right..it's a personal thing between you and God.. nobody else..
 
Organized religion freaks me out, especially when it's intertwined with politics. That's the shit that pisses me off about America. Where is the seperation of Church and State? Why the phuck is everything in society based on religious beliefs and what is "right" or "wrong". There's a point where too much religion being imposed on a society can almost become obsessive and have negative effects and rather than unite people, can actually seperate us.

**Laissez Faire- oh, and no, not the Freestyle group.
 
Well basically to me, personally, if people in general would just hold the respect towards those that they don't share the same beliefs, interests, religion, etc., by resisting negative comments, then it could almost be tolerated.

Yep! But I guess that's what keeps the world spinning; havoc, disagreements, misunderstandings, disrespect, tragedies, etc. :mad

That's why I try to remain neutral, even if I don't agree about something.
 
This is CF and CF respects Johnny O and his opinions and beleifs. I will be dammed if anyone has a problem with it. You have the right to make your own thread on your own topic - so nobody should have a probloem with what anyone else says.

I encourage members to post away and stay true to your beleifs.

Our members are smart enouph to know what they want and they can make their own choices.
