I think there was a post about this before...someone asked what were people's favorite freestyle slow jams. Well, how can it be a freestyle song if it's a slow jam? It's like saying what are your favorite freestyle heavy metal songs. I'm not arguing just wondering why it would be considered a "freestyle slow jam" just because a freestyle artist sings it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 🙂

Well...if you just mean what is my favorite slow song sung by a freestyle artist, it would be "thinking of you" by Sa-Fire

can i say

i have to say that the reason that its a freestyle slow song is because in my opinion they are very unique. If you listen to my favorites they dont sound like your regular slow song. My favorite safire's thinking of you doesnt sound like any slow song out there today. Cynthia's Ill be holding on and brenda K starr I still believe have that flavor the same as safires and im saying flavor meaning the emotion is there with the music not like other artists do. Need I remind you guys of miriah carey's i still believe its nice but doesnt sound the same.

well, think about this.....with songs such as guns n roses, "november rain", its considered a "heavy metal ballet". same scenario with freestyle. "freestyle ballet".

Hmmm...let's see

Coro - We Belong Together ( WOW 😱 )

well....I WASNT asking what ur favorite songs were
I was just wondering why it would be called a freestyle slow jam if it isn't even freestyle. A lot of the slow songs freestyle artists do sound cheesey sometimes. and it's BALLAD..not ballet
PEACE

Lots of different genes of music has a soft side. For example: heavy Metal groups put out slow songs in which the term' Power Ballad' came about. There are slow hiphop tracks. So it makes sense for freestyle artist to have slow songs.

exactly, like LL COOL J'S "I NEED LOVE". it is a "Rap balled". its slow and it has rapping in it. also "TEENAGE LOVE" by a SLICK RICK. can you say that its not rap because its a balled?

No ballads. Just rap. That was the intent. It's just a beautiful rap song. lol.

I kinda liked Laissez Faire's With Every Heart Beat, and Expose's When I looked at Him, TKA's Cant Help It, Louder than Love, Timmy T's One More Try, Stevie B's Because I Love You, and Wishing On a Star (not sure who sings, either Sweet Sensation or The Cover Girls) I hear alot of em every day at work LOL

Orgntr1, its the same. no matter how you look at it. you have to look at it in the same perspective. you can alienate one genre of music from the other. you have to look at them all in the same fashion.
