Ok, here is the story guys.
Got to The Roxy last night. Ran into Scott, Sweetness, her brother, Edalgiere, Scotman, BlueEyes, LilGoldilocks, Dj Jiggly, and Kenny Guido.
Got to meet Jade from Pretty Poison, Nayobe, Alisha, Gioia from Expose`, Betty Dee, Brenda K. Starr, Bettina.
So when I go backstage, I can see Betty Dee talking to someone. I'm thinking of how I can get over to introduce myself. She sees me, and comes over and hugs me......yelling "ChuckD!!!!"
So we talk, and she says to me, "Now, you're gonna do the song onstage with me, right????" I told her I was nervous, and she says, "Stop, you'll be fine." and proceeds to rehearse with me that one section of "Sincerely Yours"
She goes to stage management, and tells them that she needs a second mic for me, and she's bringing me onstage.
Alisha gets on and does "Too Turned On", "Baby Talk" and "All Night Passion".
George Lamond does "Where Does That Leave Love", "Bad Of The Heart" and "Without You"
Nayobe does "Second Chance For Love" and "Please Don't Go"
Pretty Poison does "Catch me", "Night time" and "When I look Into Your Eyes", as well as a new song, "Happy".
Coro came out and did his songs. AT this point Betty Dee was up next, so we were prepping and I wasn't paying attention "Sorry Coro!"
Betty came onstage and started with "Hooked On You", and she got the crowd going. Then she says she's singing the next song with a good friend, and "Sincerely Yours" came on. Next thing I know, I'm onstage doing the male rap, and singing the end duet part with Betty Dee. lmao
the cf and lf people there were cheering and waving.
I got offstage, and Betty did Love Child, and My Body.
Then Stevie B came on and sang Party Your Body and Spring Love
Night ended with Lisa Lisa. The crowd screamed for her.
It was a great night. I was soooo psyched to be onstage for this show. Nervous, but fun!!!!
