When I was in the army, I was stationed at Ft. Sam in San Antonio. I met Cynthia and Johnny O. at the Sea World there. Freestyle was pretty big down there. I am from Queens NY. Was great meeting them and they were suprised to to see a Queens boy down there. I knew them for years from their music. But most of the people did not know them at the time.
 
Texas is the BIGGEST FREESTYLE MARKET outside NYC....
as far as artists go there are to many to mention....
Most were produced by DJ Felony, with his Tight Flight Records label, but he is now currently on Power 106 on LA.

And so many more. It is because of the lack of distributing and networking that most of NYC hasn't heard the acts from Texas and Cali. And why most of Texas hasn't heard the new artists from NYC or Canada.

I believe that Jack's intentions with Club Freestyle was to create a network to keep the music alive.

Luis Lik Dis is one of the best freestyle mixers I have ever heard, and since Latif let him mix a CD for the Label, it must be true. He is on 89.3 KNON, my old station, in Dallas and if he doesn't spin your tracks, then you losing money. So hit him up, he has the connections to get you played and promoted. Hell, he will even get you press with TU YO Magazine, well actually he will hit me up and tell me that a track or artist is hot and I'll take care of the rest.

Don't knock the South cuz we are keeping Freestyle alive!!

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE BEST BUT THANKS SYNBAD! BUT FOR REAL PEEPS, THERE IS ALOT OF GOOD THINGS HERE IN TEXAS THAT ALOT OF OTHER LABELS OR EVEN ARTIST DON'T SEE FOR ALOT OF REASONS. SO ANY HELP THAT ANYONE NEEDS, JUST LET ME OR SYNBAD KNOW! EVEN D(DELICIOUS) HAS BEEN PUMPIN UP THE DALLAS SCEEN FOR A MINTE NOW. BUT ALSO ANT BODY THAT WANTS PLAY OUT HERE NEEDS TO HIT US UP OR LET US KNOW YOUR THERE SO WE CAN HELP GET IT THE PLAY IT SHOULD HAVE. Southern Freestyle and Taking You Higher, both off the Tight Flight Records label.

But if you go to power 106's website in L.A. and drop a note to DJ FELONY or FELLE FEL, I forgot how he is listed, you might get lucky.

Rumor has it that there is a mega-mix of both cd's floating around somewhere..........

I've been visiting Texas with Suzy for over 10 years, I think I've been to just about every City there. It's a great place, I've even considered living there.
