This show was off the hook, i had a great time. It was soo packed. I took pictures but i dont have a comp (i use the one at work). I have a roll. Connie gave a good performance, but let me tell you, she DOES NOT now how to dance!Sorry, but she sang good.Timmy T was stuck in the 80's he wore a suit!Coro was hotttttttt, Cynthis was off the hook and so was Angelina.Frankie J, what can i say,hes even hotter in person and Stevie B brought his Baby on stage, what a cuttie(her name is Iesha) and he also brought his son.I know im forgetting more, but im tired!

Just thought I would weigh in and add a analysis of the show.

Coro was surpise opener who had the girls screaming from the jump.

One Voice, although they have done Freestyle mixes of some of thier songs in the past, kept it straight R & B. Their set was solid though and had some good energy.

Spanish Fly. Well honestly I thought this was a lackluster performance. I know they put alot of work into the presentation but it was just boring. The dance break went on way to long and the actual song count was very short.

Cynthia. She was the epitome of what true Freestyle was and is. Her performance was flawless. Solid voice and great stage presence. She did great.

The Cover Girls. With all the drama recently on this site concerning the new set of girls, I was eager to see this set. I was surprised. Now it was in no way like seeing the originals, but it was full of energy and great stage presence. They handled all the songs in an entertaining way.

Timmy T. This seemed a bit un-focused. He wanted to do a live set with a keyboard but seemed to abandon that idea half way through and just went off cd instrumentals.

Frankie J. He really had no business being there. Not one acknowledgment of his past Freestyle songs. Just did 3 of his wimpy slow songs and left.

Connie was such a flashback it was scary. I was back in 87 at Studio 47 in San Jose during this one. Very powerful sultry voice as always. Not as energetic but still a crowd favorite.

Angelina. She KILLED it. This was by far the most well recieved performance of the day. The crowd was screaming throughout her set and it was amazing. What can I say. We love our own. She is Bay Area through and through no matter if she lives in Texas or wherever.

Then came a real low light.

Rodney O and Joe Cooley. Don't get me wrong, these guys are legends of West Coast party Hip Hop but they really were out of element at this show. Thier set really turned ugly when some drunk girl from the crowd got on stage and started dancing and making an ass of herself. The crowd began booing loudly and throwing plastic bottles on stage. Needless to say the group cut their set short and got off stage.

Stevie B. He was the closer and since I have seen him perform countless times. I didn't stick around.

Props to everyone who came out and all the people I ran into in the crowd and backstage.

What I mean by my statement was that even though they tried to keep the energy going, she (the dancer), killed the crowd energy and the shows momentum. I wasn't saying they weren't trying. I have just seen them in so many other situations over the past 15 years that this was not even close to one of their best shows

Why am I not surprised?

Now you know why I took that stand.

You know what's funny, you mention how Angelina tore it up, and I agree, she always does. With all those freestyle greats in the line-up and you say Angelina gave the best performance? Then it's funny how she gets little mention on this messageboard. I feel sorry for the people ignoring her and missing out. She is definitely one of the best performers/artists in freestyle today. Come on east coast, get on it!
