Okay let me tell you this story that happend between me and on of my friends. Okay. The other day Im outside cutting my eight period class as usual so me and all my friends are ouside in front of the school chilling. So we all just talking about the same old bullshit. Then I put on my cd player and of course I have freestyle on it so one of my frinds asks me "what are you listening to?". I said "freestyle" she looked at me and said ewe freestyle is so gay! I got mad and said your fathers gay. Eventhough I dont mind that type of lifestyle towards people but it got me mad . I wouldnt of had gotten that mad but 3 of my other friends said the same thing.

Just thought you would like to know.

Do any of you guys think freestyle is gay?
 
no i think freestyle is better then the junk they play on the radio these days i wish they would put freestyle back on the radio and wake people up2 it and then they will love it dont lisn to what they say peace and keep freestyle alive
 
Don't get into a fight over freestyle music, u never who your dealing with. it's only music & not everyone is gonna like it.
 
Sandman has the right attitude, you can't let peoples opinions get you down. Not everyone likes the same things and people who don't like freestyle just have bad taste in music, that's all!

well - not to sound like i'm "dissing" freestyle - but i think freestyle is one of the most gayest types of music - cuz most of the songs are all girly n stuff (even songs by guys)
 
I've never had a someone tell me anything negative about freestyle. But a lot of people don't know what it is. Although I agree with some of you...radio stations everywhere need to start playing freestyle. I've read what DJ Johnny Budz said in a thread before that radio stations only play what a majority of what people listen to in that area. Buffalo, NY plays the same junk over and over . I was recently at a club this past weekend where I talked to someone who works at a popular radio station in Buff, and I explained to him that they need to start playing some freestyle, even just a little freestyle, start mixing it in with other music to get people familiar with it. I told him that they are probally concerned about the ratings, but how would you know without trying first?...hopefully they will throw a little freestyle in once and awhile to give people a taste of this awesome music. If not, I will write, write, and write to them and try to get them to hopefully play some freestyle!
 
Don't worry bout what your friends think bout the music. If they don't like tell em go to hell I do. Got a problem?
 
Freestyle is not gay.. it's 'Emotional'

Some people bug out when it comes to their emotions.. so they say 'its gay'

You know what? I love freestyle. Been listening to it since before I could remember. When I have it in my car mostly all the people in my car don't like it. They always tell me that it is gay. I get mad, but I don't get into no fight over it. Usually they tell me that if a guy listens to freestyle that he is gay. That's not true!!! Freestyle is one of the most emotional music you can listen to. Those who don't like it are obivously closed off from what they really feel. Know what i mean jelly bean?

CHAO$, i think its time you find new friends!!! seriously, i still hear people telling me "freestyle is so old, its so 80's". then i ask them to sell me thier freestyle cd's. they reply "no way.....i still listen to them!!" THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMMMM?
 
if you pump up the freestyle in the car alot of people do think your gay if they hear it.......
 
The term "gay" gets overused. My friends use it all the time when they really mean stupid or silly. It's not right, but that's what's going on.
 
My opinion

Okay here's where I turn everybody against me. I think Freestyle Music is gay. It seems to me that most of the guy singers are gay or just look gay. I have no problem with it, otherwise I wouldn't be listening to it if I thought only gays liked it. It's just that I always thought that guy Freestyle singers were gay. No offense to any guy here. It seems so girly to let your emotions out like that.
 
The reason people say freestyle is gay is because NUMBER ONE...It's DANCE MUSIC...which people associate with gays(stereotypically). Second, it's talking about Love most of the time which is "mushy, and emotional." But if you look at it from the point of being--Hard hitting beats, good melodies, and something not many ppl listen to--and u can breakdance to it or cruise, it then it doesn't seem "gay."
I Used to think it was gay dance music, because of that reason, but as I listened to more of it I got into it,and saw it from a diff. view.

Chaos, there are gays in every aspect of business and entertainment and that's a fact, so what? You're listening to music that moves you, the ones that think it's gay are probably in the closet themselves-lol. Anyway, gays and the music industry go hand in hand, in rock, salsa, and yes, even rap...it's not a big deal.

It's funny but you don't hear gay people going "Gawd, that music is SOOO straight!"

Now before the rumors and innuendos start flying I'm not running out to march in the Rainbow Coalition parade but I also am not about to intrude on someone's lifestyle and force my hetero views on them, whatever floats your boat.

Music is music, saying a certain type of music is gay is as stupid as saying heavy metal (which I love) is the devil's music.
