DONT YOU HATE IT, WHEN YOU GET INTO A TV SERIES -THAN IT GETS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF LOW RATINGS OR SOMEHOW THE NETWORKS DONT REALLY SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE SERIES.WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SHORT LIVED TV SERIES, THAT LASTED ONLY A HALF A SEASON OR ONE FULL SEASON???ALOT OF THE ONES I CHOSE, GOT ACTORS NOTICED AND THEY WENT ONTO BETTER THINGS.I LOVE & STILL LOVE THESE SHOWS.

"STARMAN" with ROBERT HAYS- Actually this show got higher ratings,than most of the shows today,how strange is that??

"MY SO CALLED LIFE" with CLAIRE DANES- made her into a big film star, and the series lives on in DVD.

"SECOND CHANCES" & spinoff ""HOTEL MALIBU"with JENNIFER LOPEZ, MADE HER INTO A HUGE FILM & MUSIC STAR, AT THE TIME IN EARLY 90'S WAS THE ONLY LATINA ON PRIME-TIME TV!!!!! yES, I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF HER SINCE THE BEGINNING, IM VERY LOYAL.NOW THE TWO SERIES LIVES ON DVD!!! :timetopar

"2000 MALIBU ROAD" WITH DREW BARRYMORE, I LOVED THIS PRIME-TIME SOAP,WHICH IS THE ONLY SERIES DREW WAS IN, IN THE EARLY 90'S.I HAVE ALL THE EPISODES RECORDED, BUT HOPEFULLY THE WILL PUT IT ON DVD ONE DAY.

"BUCK ROGERS' WITH ERIN GRAY, THIS SHORT LIVED LATE 70'S/EARLY 80'S SCI-FI SERIES, WILL LIVE ON IN DVD,COMING SOON!!!!!

There was a great show a while ago called "Nothing Sacred" which was about a young priest joining an old church, and how his views were contrary to the church.

One of the episodes had a single pregnant woman, questioning whether or not to have an abortion. The older priests told her it was a sin. The younger one told her she needed to follow what her heart told her.

Another episode had all the priests away on Christmas Eve, and they had a nun celebrate Christmas Eve mass with the parish.

Catholics were all "upset" and threatened to boycott sponsors and the network, so the network cancelled the show.
 
Definitely "My So-Called Life"....to this day I'm still pissed that the show got cancelled because Claire Danes decided to leave the show....But I REALLY loved the Melrose Place spin-off "Models Inc." which featured future Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss...or how about the Dynasty spin-off "The Colbys"
